Germany created Currywurst, Schnitzel, various meals with asparagus, and that's not even getting into what France, Italy, Spain, Britain, Poland, and what-have-you invented for food. If anything, african nations are the ones with barely any variation in food. It's bread with thick sauces this and boiled meat that in that continent.

France and Italy were basically ground zero for the idea of celebrity chefs and high class restaurants. Now, Black American culture did some creative stuff with their soul food, but since most of what they made was from cast offs we now mostly just think of it as fried whatever with cornbread.

It's largely because most white Americans are mutts so it HAS to be " White culture". Almost nobody is purely of one ethnic origin here unless they're from one of the Native American tribes and even then not always. Maybe Arabs and devoutly religious Jews, too.

The topic of this thread reminded me of a TikTok that went viral recently, which got (rightfully so) blasted by everyone with common sense for how stupid it was.

(It isn’t the original because it got taken so here’s a stitch.)

It’s ironic that she claims that aspects from cultures should be gatekept from those who aren’t born into them, yet she, a Latina, wears an evil eye necklace, which originated from Mediterranean cultures, in the same breath. With that logic, wouldn’t she not be allowed to wear the necklace?

It’s mind-boggling how American leftists are literally born into a “melting pot” that yields so much diversity, but kick and scream when they realize living in a melting pot means practicing cultural diffusion and not hoarding “your culture” like you’re fucking Gollum.
