This topic just came up on Freddie deBoer's blog.
To answer Freddie's points: A lot of the cultural appropriation BS is virtue signaling; a way to gain internet points in your social circle by showing how good a person you are. The other part of it is that the idea of someone who isn't a white cis male having agency is anathema to SocJus. It is their solemn duty to act as moral guardians for those who are too ignorant to know what's good for them.

The favorite SJW term is "house nigger." Because it's okay to call a black man a nigger for disagreeing with you, so long as you put "house" in front of it. At least on Twitter under pseudonyms. IRL they are much safer and just call them Uncle Toms, you know, because it's up to white people to gauge whether someone is black enough for their taste.
March 17th is the day St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, died and it's mainly celebrated by Christians as a feast day. So judging by that logic, shouldn't they be called out for appropriating Irish Christian culture?

Also, since I haven't perused tumblr, I've only heard this second hand, but I've heard from others that many tumblrinas think that the Holocaust and the Irish potato famine were no big deal cuz it was just white people killing other white people (though I'm not sure what the Tumblrinas consider the Roma people to be, if they're even aware of the Roma).
