His voice acting parody also seems spot on here. I’m more surprised no one ever talks about how voice acting in video games has been very stagnant. Not since the PS3 days has this been noticeable.

@Scarlett Johansson and I have been complaining about that for awhile. They don't bring in anyone that aren't their friends or the unions deliberately fuck over any new talent in favor of old. Even Texas without their unions falls prey to the former cronyism where people go, "Who should we hire?" "How about Big Name™?" "Okay, but then who after?" then Big Name™ interjects and says Big Friend™. It's trash. I don't think they have any casting calls at all.
Personally, I knew voice acting was going to go downhill the minute I found that Drake was almost in Gears Of War:

apologies for calling David Cage's women androgynous twigs. Some of them have curves, so that's nice. Seems like he has a fetish for a specific woman so keeps shoehorning those poorly animated lewd scenes.
I don't think Cage is woke, but he could actually use some "diversity" because I won't be able to handle another Cage's self insert "nice guy" chosen ones. Marcus at least had some charisma but no wonder most people found Connor the most interesting character, and he's actually a re-written autistic FBI agent from Heavy Rain. Cage does love his archetypes.

I think it was Super Best Friends that pointed out that David Cage seems to have a type and a fetish, since many of his games have the Elan Page type that almost gets raped by some thug.
The problem I have with the video is that Bastion is almost a decade old.
It would be like complaining that games are all 2D 8 bit mascot platform games while Resident Evil, Mario 64, and Half-Life are popular.

I honestly find Cage's "romance" scenes way more disturbing than attempted rape. Heavy Rain is the worst offender because Madison actually seemed like an interesting character. Yeah, she shows off her tits to a pervert but she's a journalist who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, nor she allows to be victimized by it.
And then there's her "romance" scene:

Then you didn't watch it, because Sam expressed that he thinks it's some sort of platform/exploration game, but he can't get into the gameplay because it(to Sam) has such an annoying and unnecessary narrator that has wet-mouthed, gross sounds that it prevents him from getting past the 5-minute mark. The bulk of the video is complaints about voice-acting in videos games, which is provably not needed based on 30+ years of games not having the technology for it, but when they do add it in there is sometimes poor quality that's strange for such high-budget production.
