Feedback CWC thread creation - Cause so many get locked

Between the troll threads, the duplicates, the inane updates that get merged, and the threads that are just total shit:
Why not have new CWC threads require admin/manager approval (similiar to feedback)?
Sure it'll possibly delay thirsty autists from getting their ratings when they post yet another random Facebook update but it's the price to pay when it could be prevented that the same person posts 4 threads of a video of their basement and photoshops buying a crappy tractor.
Bottom line: it'll make the sub look neater and keep 12 pages of people sperging at a bad photoshop from happening

I miss when there was the "Updates" subforum in CWC to get the content and you could just avoid the disco spergs if you wanted to.

Any reasons you remember why people disagreed? It's not like there's a staff shortage so it wouldn't delay thread creation a lot. And it's easy to tell "chris posts meaningful life event" thread from "random autist's basement thread"

Because banning socks, locking threads after 2 pages, and null deleting an entire threads worth of posts is 'fun'
I'm obviously taking threads about stalking an autist way too seriously but anything to prevent 3 threads of the same video of a basement from happening again.

I don't see why we should make it a bother for everyone to post in the subforum that individually probably still is our main attraction just to deter a few shitposting threads that can be locked / deleted / merged in 2 seconds upon discovery .

There are a couple of cons.

A lot of people subscribe to Chris on social media. The more time that goes by while a thread is still in queue, the more people will add to that queue. And they'll all title their threads differently. So if a mod takes 10 minutes to get to the queue, there might be ten different thread requests, and the mod would have to open them all to verify if they're the same or not.

While it's rare, there are times that Chris posted videos that were taken down within minutes. The quicker people see threads, the faster they can archive things.

There's a section called "Da Update" on the Cwcki's homepage.

I think those are mostly post content issues. Having a thread queue wouldn't really address that.
