Do it.In fact, I might see if I can write the Polygon review of CP77 ahead of time and see how accurate it is.
Yes, there would be "woke shit" by the nature of the setting. But there's a difference between having the option pink hair and gender swaps on demand, vs cyberpunk as a trans utopia attending poetry slams to take down "the man".i'll be honest with you, its a cyberpunk game, of course theres going to be some woke shtit
This is also why I think splitting hairs about what is and isn't real cyberpunk isn't helpful, because you end tying yourself in a knot trying to justify every rule with it's exceptions. Some people consider The Matrix to be cyberpunk, even though it doesn't have any of the traditional elements of cyberpunk in it.
I doubt the game would do it justice. Even the few game games in recent years solely about cops fuck it up, so having it be a side quest wouldn't be good imo. That said, I can easily imagine a bounty hunting quest chain, especially if the game is designed to allow pacifist runs like New Vegas. Or maybe a quest where you work with a crooked cop to make a drug deal that goes sideways.I get that there are some incredibly good reasons why this wasn't possible with this game, CDPR has enough on their plate already, but don't be so dismissive of a cyberpunk game where you play as a cop, it has the potential to be really fun and engaging if done well.
If you want a cop FPS that is more Robocop than Blade Runner, Urban Chaos: Riot Response on PS2 and Xbox is really good.
