Actor Daniel Radcliffe said he is rooting against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, citing quarterback Tom Brady’s connections to President Trump.
The “Harry Potter” star told Variety that he's backing the Los Angeles Rams in the big game.
“The whole world’s rooting against the Patriots, sorry,” Radcliffe said.
“Take that MAGA hat out of your locker. I feel like that was the moment when as a country we were all like, ‘oh come on, dude!’” said Radcliffe, who is from the UK. “We all … want to be behind you, don’t put that in there.”
A red “Make America Great Again” hat was spotted inside Brady’s locker in 2015.
Brady and Trump are known to be friends, and Trump has repeatedly touted their relationship. The Patriots quarterback has not stood by all of Trump’s comments, particularly about NFL players kneeling during the national anthem to protest racial inequality.
