If you are a fan of Video Games where you go into Hell like Doom and Diablo, and Hacking and slashing demons like Devil May Cry, then this is a video game that you will MOST certainly enjoy.

Dante's Inferno is a hack and slash Video Game based on the narrative poem, Divine Comedy. This game is for Xbox 360 and PS3.

The Plot:

During the Third Crusade, Dante Alighieri was stabbed in the back by a Muslim assassin, causing to go into an encounter with Death himself, telling him that he shall face everlasting damnation In hell for his sins. but Dante was somehow able to beat him and take his scythe. Dante decided to return home, only to find his father and fiancé Beatrice killed. but then, he sees Beatrice dragged into hell by lucifer (AKA Satan) and literally goes into the nine circles of hell with Virgil to rescue her.

The game has received positive reviews destructoid, game informer, and IGN.

It's a shame a lot of people brush this game off for being a "God of War clone." I really dig some of the designs put into it, namely Minos'.

They did which is kinda ironic in that it's true for EA being the devil to some. Plus this is probably one of the few western games besides Outlast and GTA that shows a penis. They just had to make Satan hung like a horse.

I liked the gameplay and art direction. I remember seeing the animated movie based on this game(ala Dead Space Downfall) and that dante's father was voiced by Mark Hamill.

It is a shame that the sequel got scrapped. I think the story could have been interesting. Also, the graphics and gameplay were adequate. If they remade it for PS4 for a competitive price, I would pick it up.
