So, a few years ago, a friend showed me this book she had that was written by a high school/college classmate of hers. We got drunk and did dramatic readings out of it, and it's pretty fantastic for that purpose. Years later, I picked it up on Amazon on a whim. When I bought it, it was $20 or $30. A bit steep for being a total piece of shit, but sure glad I got it back then!

The price as of this posting is ridiculous:

"He killed his first when he was only seven. He was trained to think differently, move faster, become stronger, and feel no pain. He fights a war on his own with no one who cares about his life. She has lived for 209 years cursed with the thirst for blood and with immortality. She is haunted by the memories of her past, forced to remember the painful memories that haunt her mind. She tries to find peace in her cursed life. But in Darmez, Nevada, chance has a way of changing things. This is what happens when they meet."

"My name is Justin Levesque. This is my first story I've been able to put on paper. I come up with stories all the time in my head. However, I could never put even one of them down on paper. I don't know why. When I started writing Dark Truths I came up with all sorts of ideas and possibilities. The ideas popped into my head one at a time. Each one grew into new details, then a page, and then a chapter. Even as I wrote this book I started thinking up ideas for the next books I will be writing. I come up with ideas all the time but most come from my dreams. I believe that dreams are the most precious things anyone can have. They helped inspire me to start writing this book and they'll help me with my other books as well. Dreams can help turn a single idea into a brand new world. I hope you enjoyed reading Dark Truths. I can't wait to write my next book for all of you to read."

To give you an idea of what this guy was like (according to my friend), he'd shove one of those Hallmark cards with the speakers in them in his locker so that every time he opened it, "Bad To The Bone" would play. When he got to college and had to take comp, he tried to get out writing assignments by reminding his professor that he already published a novel.

He got this published through Publish America--a vanity publisher--and apparently kept hundreds of copies at his house. No editing was done, as far as I can tell.

The novel is split up into chapters, with each chapter covering events from the perspective of the main character and then from his love interest, a 200-year-old vampire named Lara. Every time Levesque describes the self-insert in Dark Truths, he's wearing the same clothes, which are very similar to the above pic.

The main character, Daren--whose name you don't know until 47 pages in--is the aforementioned self-insert. He's introduced to us as a vampire-hunting sperg who has bad dreams about his mom dying at the hands of some evil vampire.

"...[The] only thing he could see was his reflection in the glass. He was tall about 5'11, with light brown medium length curly hair, hazel green eyes, with and athletic build, and he saw his changes since the last time, two years ago, now he is 17 years old. He sighed and said, "so many years and now I've finally might have found that fucker."

He jumped on his black crotch rocket, with his black work boots, black jeans that are torn up at the bottom, along with his black silk like t-shirt, and black leather jacket. He knew that he over did it with the black but it makes it so he can't be seen easily by normal people at night. He then made sure he had both of his pistols in their holsters on his belt. The holsters where big and shaped different for a reason that only made since to him. He then checked a little behind his gun on his left to find his hunting knife, long solid blade with a leather grip in the handle, still in its sheath. Once he knew everything was in place, he grabbed the handles to he's bike and drove off into the night."

Lara, the love interest, is described as follows:

"...[She] couldn't help but look in the mirror. She had long straight dark red hair almost blood like as some vampires have said, she was about 5'9, she had an athletic figure, and her eyes like any other vampires where hazel black. ... Lara also checked her outfit. Her blue jeans looked fine, along with her light blue small t-shirt. To humans she would look like a 16 maybe 17 year old, but she was actually 207 years old."

Here's one of my favorite excerpts from Chapter 3. Errors are as they're presented in the book.

He started to walk around the town and know his way around. People thought he was 18 or when they asked about him being in school he just said, "I dropped out" or "I just moved I haven't been transferred yet." It was easy to tell a lie and do many other things since his training with the hunters.

His mind went back when he was first brought into training. He knew some tricks and killed a vampire but he needed to learn more in order to survive. He was about seven when he was brought in and started to train. During the day he trained his body; to fight, run faster, and be stronger. At night he trained his mind; to think faster, hack a computer, find a quick escape route, hide and tell peoples emotions, and to memorize basic information. He tried never to sleep because of the constant nightmare or dream he has every time he does sleep.

While he was thinking back and walking he noticed an old store. It looked like it was from the 70's but it was a gun store. He walked in and looked around. It was a descent store with shotguns, rifles, and pistols along with their ammo. He saw the counter worker, an old man about his 80's, and walked up to him. The counterman asked, "What can I get for you kid, we're have'n a sale so what ever ya need just say so."

He simply asked, "Do you have .45 caliber Heckler bullets?"

"Ya we do for about $20 a box," the counterman replied.

"How many are in each box?"

"About 40 bullets each or so give n take."

"How much do you want for the clips for the same kind of gun?"

"I'll take about oh.........$15 each, how about that."

"I'll take about 10 boxes of bullets and 6 clips."

"Jesus Christ son are ya going to war or something!"

"Couldn't hurt to be ready for anything."

"Okay well it's up to you." The counterman then went into the back and got all the stuff. While the counterman was doing that he pulled out his wallet and got out a total of $400. The counter man gave him the stuff and he handed him the money. The counter man quickly said, "Wow, son that's too much."

"I know keep the change for your retirement, it's not much but it'll help later" With out another word he was out the door. He didn't want the old man to give back the money cause of two reasons. One, he wanted to help out the guy if he could. Two, he might not live long enough to use the extra $110.

He quickly went to a clothes store and bought some extra black pants and shirts. He put the bag from the gun store inside the bag from the clothes store. Luckily no one asked any questions. He walked around looking at all the people; parents, business workers, drop outs, thugs, and others that where out there. He couldn't help but wonder how he's like would have been different if the vampires never existed. He walked for hours with that thought in mind. He walked around memorizing what was where. He didn't bother with the street names, since he couldn't remember names to save his life any ways.

He watched each person carefully to see who has contacts where. He was mostly looking for a perfect rat. He also looked at stores and roads memorizing what was where. He listened to every word he could, trying to at least get an understanding of what the people know.

He heard the school bell ring for it to end so he quickly walked towards the rural end of town. He saw many teenagers that just got out of school run around joking, others heading to sports practice, and others excited to go to a party. He listened in on where it was and then headed for his apartment. He finally got to the apartment he rented and got his things ready for what he was going to do tonight.

Anyway, if there's interest, I'll post more excerpts or record a dramatic reading or two. Anyone else know anyone who's published a shitty novel and wanna share?

I love how the guy just sells all this shit to a walking school shooter stereotype. Also, a dramatic reading sounds incredible.

Running in the middle of the night was a woman, in about her mid 20's. She carried something in her arms. It was bundled up in blankets and cloth. She continued to run from the city into the woods hoping to be safe there. She was already out of breath and it hurt to run but she continued to push forward knowing what dangers chase her. She runs harder to get in the woods but the sticks hurt her bare feet, because she had no time to get her shoes on. She looked back to make sure no one fallowed her. All of a sudden she fell. She fell down a hill, and quickly held the wrap of blankets to her chest making sure she gets all of the pain.

She hit the bottom of the hill and looked at the blankets to know that they where completely unharmed. She then heard the sound of a stick breaking. She turned to look and saw her follower. The man she tried all of her might to run from. He knelt down to look her straight in the face and said, "Finally found you." He then revealed his sharp fangs and he's black eyes shown even more bright up close and in the moon light. With a flash his fangs and eyes pushed forward to blur the picture.

He forced his head up instantly waking up from his dream or nightmare. "That dream again" he said. He must have accidentally fallen asleep while reading up on the city's surrounding. He shacked his head and went straight back to his laptop. He clicked his mouse on each area of the 3D lay out of the town reading as much as he could about it. Then he wrote a little note on a scrap piece of paper he had beside him. Looking again at his screen of the over view of the city, he sighed. He couldn't help but say, "God damn, Darmez, Nevada is big as hell." Darmez, Nevada is a town unknown to most people. The parents, college students, or teenagers don't like saying where they are from this town because it's not in the government records.

This town has a rural area and a big city area, along with a lake, and the whole town is surrounded by a big forest. He gathered his notes and looked at the town on his screen. Since it wasn't on records he had to hack into the town's network to figure out its layout. He looked at his notes again and smirked, "Perfect place for those bastards to hide."

He toke his notes and tucked them in his pocket and turned off the laptop. He then smashed the laptop against the wall constantly to make sure there was nothing left of it. "No point in keeping it if it's an easy way to find me." he thought as he gathered up the rest of his things and left the warehouse. It was about fall weather outside but the street was filled with houses and small stores. He looked around to make sure no one saw him but the only thing he could see was his own reflection in the glass. He was tall about 5'11, with light brown medium length curly hair, hazel green eyes, with and athletic build, and he saw his changes since the last time, two years ago, now he is 17 years old. She looked out into the morning in sadness remembering how it felt to look at the sunrise while not worrying about the night before. She went to her closet and grabbed her stuff to go to school. She took her time since it she didn't have to be there in the first place thanks to her gifts. "Sometimes it's nice to be vampire," then she sighed and said to herself, "While others it's a nightmare." She gathered her stuff and walked out of the house.

She enjoyed walking around in the morning, laughing to herself for all the false tales humans have made about vampires. She rather enjoyed sunlight, she isn't affected by garlic but hates the taste, her favorite jewelry to ware on special occasions is silver, and some of the other vampires in the city are actually catholic and pray every day. She doesn't know why they pray since she already knows their in hell as it is. But, they can be killed by being stabbed in the heart; anything would die after getting stabbed in the heart.

She continued to walk on the sidewalks past some of her favorite shops. While she was walking she heard some girl call from behind her, "Hey Lara are you headen to school already." She turned around quickly to see a human girl from school. Her name is Mary she was very cheerful and she liked her.

"I was just wondering around before I head to school Mary" she replied.

Mary cheerfully said, "Okay we can walk together"

She simply said, "I'd like that Mary, thanks." Mary was a nice girl with blonde long hair, a slim figure, about 5'8, and blue eyes. Mary was 16 years old and a cheerleader to no surprise. They walked about for a while talking about random subject. Once in a while Mary would spot one of her favorite stores and tell her all about what she likes to get there. Lara didn't much mind all the attention from Mary she actually enjoyed being normal even for a few seconds.

They finally arrived at school where she knew they would split up. Mary shouted as she ran, "I'll see you 4th hour Lara."

Lara shouted back, "See you then." She looked at the school and shacked her head. She knew exactly what the school was for. During school vampires would slip in as students, sometimes for a day or week, other times for the whole school year. The vampires used this time at school to invite humans to parties on different parts of the city.The parties where simply there for many vampires to drink blood from humans. She had to drink blood too but she rarely went to those parties.

Lara heard the bell which gave her ten minutes to get ready for her classes. She put her stuff in her locker and quickly went to the bathroom to wash up. When she was done she couldn't help but look in the mirror. She had long straight dark red hair almost blood like as some vampires have said, she was about 5'9, she had an athletic figure, and her eyes like any other vampires where hazel black.

It's their eyes that normally bring a human so easily to them; their eyes are hypnotic to humans. Lara also checked her outfit. Her blue jeans looked fine, along with her light blue small t-shirt. To humans she would look like a 16 maybe 17 year old, but she was actually 207 years old. She walked out of the bathroom and to her next class and she knew that a lot of guys where checking her out.

Lara knew that when you became a vampire you change so you're more beautiful; it made it easy for you to find humans. You are can hear things as if you where a bat, and see much farther then any normal human. You become stronger than a human Olympic athlete. They also get faster but not much to brag about since you only go as fast as an athlete for track or football. She could also see and manipulate a humans mind. She could even regenerate, but it was slow not instant as some humans think. Though some of the gifts you won't be able to get in till you're an elder. She knew about all of her gifts and curses. However, in this school she tried to act as normal as she could.

She enjoyed going to school and relaxing. It gave her a chance to forget all about being a vampire, her past, and everyone in between. She liked to learn new things about humans. Every thirty or so years she would join a school to learn what has changed in the world. The bell rang again as the three minute warning. She ran to her classroom on the other side of the school.

Got Chapter 3 and 4 recorded for anyone who feels like they haven't gotten their daily dose of literary :autism: yet. I think I may record the whole book after all. I MacGyvered a pop filter before recording Chapter 4, so hopefully that helps a bit. A couple parts sound a little weird (like a question that sounds like I'm confused in Chapter 4) but that's how it was written, so that's how I read it.

He started to walk around the town and know his way around. People thought he was 18 or when they asked about him being in school he just said, "I dropped out" or "I just moved I haven't been transferred yet." It was easy to tell a lie and do many other things since his training with the hunters.

~~~~~~~
Lara just got out of school when she had another girl from her 5th hour come up to her. She said, "Hey Lara there's a party going on tonight at Aaron's place do ya wanna go?"
Lara quickly said, "No thanks" The girl was shocked by her quick reply to say no and she walked off. Lara normally doesn't go to parties but she knew exactly who Aaron was. Aaron and Lara where cousins, in a way. She was made a vampire by a brother of the one who made Aaron a vampire. However she didn't like Aaron at all. He believed himself to be so much better then humans because he's a vampire. He loved his gifts and the very taste of blood so he has many parties. Lara tries to avoid him when they are in the same bar or house.
She walked to her house and put up her things and walked out just as quickly. She knew how to do the assignments so easily that it only toke her about a one hour to finish it. So she didn't worry too much about it. She then headed for their, vampire part, of the city.
It was getting pretty dark when Lara got to their part of the city. She knew exactly what bar she was heading to. It was the same bar she headed to for the last 55 years. The bar was called Midnight Rise, and she went to the bar almost every weekday. The door man recognized her instantly and let her in. The bar was set up like always. Most vampire bars where made the same. The drinks had some blood in them but not enough to satisfy the thirst for it; they also had drinks for humans just in case a vampire brought one as a guest. They had many visitors, mostly vampires. The vampires that came to the bars varied between fresh vampires and elders.
She sat at the bar and ordered her usual drink, a Nocturnal Nightcap, when she heard a familiar voice say, "Make it two." She turned to see Lucas, she nodded.
Lucas said with a small sigh, "Are you ever going to talk me."
She turned and said, "I thought that was obvious when we last saw each other." She turned back to the bar and then remembered why she hates Lucas. Her and Lucas use to date, it was natural for two vampires. When he noticed she yearned to be human again, he struck out at her and tried to force her to turn more to her vampire side They broke up after that and she has hated him ever since. He looked about the same since the last time they saw each other. He had medium length dark brown hair, athletic build, about 6 ft tall, and his eyes where almost a copy of her old masters, solid black.
"I was just trying to make you see that you should be what you really are." Lucas said.
"This is who I am."
"Your right Lara, and who you are is a vampire. Except that embrace it."
She turned at him with rage in her eyes and shouted at him, "I never asked to be a vampire. I want to be human, I want to be normal." The people in the bar didn't pay any attention unless it involved them so they didn't take interest.
"Lara no matter how bad the wold wishes it could be a dog it will still howl at the moon. No matter how much it acts like a dog it will hunger for meat. You are what you are, you can't change that." When Lucas finished saying that he walked out of the bar. Lara quickly finished her drink and left. She had learned along time ago how to hide her emotions, so no one asked how she was. She then toke her car, her red Mazda, she left at the bar last night, to her house. As soon as she got there she broke down crying on her bed. When no more tears would come she started to let her thoughts carry her to sleep. Before her eyes closed she looked at the clock to see it saying it was 11:42pm.
He looked at the clock and it was 11:42pm. He was at Aaron's party were there where plenty of girls, guys, drinks, and of course vampires. He sat there at the end of a small bar and thought about how easy it was to get in.
10:00pm
He just parked his bike a few clocks away in an old garage; he had to break into, in the rural part of town. He got out unnoticed and made it looked as if the garage was untouched. He peaked just around the corner and could see the house at the end of the road. He pulled out a pair of heat sensor binoculars and looked at the house. From the look of it the house had two floors, a small bar on the first floor along with a dance room, and rec room. The second floor had the bathrooms and bedrooms. He put away his binoculars in his jacket, he is warring the same outfit he wore last night.
It was easy to get in to the party since they didn't even have a doorman. He walked around the first floor acted like he was partying and drunk. Since he acted like he was drunk he made his way to the bar and sat at the end. He ordered a Deserino on the rocks. He sat there watching everyone, looking for the host of this party. He saw many vampires walk of with girls and guys. It was hard but he managed to ignore it.
He looked at the clock and it was now 11:00. He made his way up stairs with a loose step. He finally got to the bathroom and locked the door. Once in the bathroom he acted like normal. He then aw the toilet and went over to it. He rummaged threw his jacket and found a small timed bomb, small enough to blow something up but not big enough to be very dangerous. He set the bomb for one hour and dropped it in the toilet. I was now 11:08 and he flushed the toilet. He then moved back down stairs and to the bar.
It was now 11:43 and he finally spotted the host of the party, Aaron He crowded himself in much company, both vampire and human. He was easy to spot in the crowd; black short hair, athletic, red sweater shirt, and black dress pants. He slowly watched Aaron but made sure he kept his drunken act up. He watched closely as Aaron bragged about his success and complained about some girl, but he didn't hear the name.
He checked the clock again and it was now 12:02. He made his way up to one of the vampires near Aaron acting as drunk as he could. He said, "Hey man, are ya the guy thrown this kick ass party."
Seeing how drunk he was Aaron replied, "He's not but I am, and I've seen you at the bar."
"Ya have?"
"Ya and I'll tell ya what I'm going to hook you up with one of these lovely ladies." Aaron whistled and a vampire girl came up. "Can you show our new friend here a good time?" She then toke him up to one of the second floor rooms. He stumbled in the room and she helped him stand straight, she then started to kiss his neck and went to bite it. Then with a split second she was stabbed in the heart and fell backwards. He was still holding his "unique" gun. His .45 caliber Heckler had been made with a long blade at the bottom end of the barrel but the blade didn't affect the shot of the bullet, and now the blade was covered with vampire blood. Both guns where like that. The guns themselves had black handles with metal barrels. He moved the vampire so she wasn't in his way.
He then moved to the door, waited and listened. It only toke a few more seconds for him to hear the sounds of the explosion. He walked out to see the first floor covered with water. All the humans where gone or just leaving, and only a few vampires where left. All of them were on the first floor. He slowly walked down stairs with both guns in his hands. There was one vampire not even looking at him. She was on the bottom of the stairs just trying to stay out of the water. When he reached the step she was on she didn't even give it a second thought to stab her right in the heart. The vampires quickly turned when they heard her scream from the stab. She then dropped onto the ground face forward and splashed water all around.
Aaron then stepped forward a head of the other vampires. He shouted at him, "What the hell do you think you are doing."
He simply smiled and said, "Killing you." Without a single warning he started shooting the vampires while slowly making his way to one after the other stabbing each on in the heart. When he got close to a few he had to fight hand to hand. Thanks to his training with the hunters he matched their strength. After killing four vampires he ran out of ammo and dived into the rec room. He then moved so his back was bracing himself against the door. He quickly reloaded his guns, not that it mattered much. Bullets won't kill the vampires, but it does hurt them enough for him to make a move and sometimes they go into shock.
The vampires barged in right after he finished reloading his guns. When they barged in they pushed him forward knocking him onto the ground. After he landed on his back he shot about half a clip of bullets into them. One lunged at him but he stabbed his heart and threw him off with his legs. One vampire was badly stunned from the bullets, in front off the door. He stabbed him quickly and had his guns at the ready. He walked slowly into the main room. He listened carefully with his eyes closed.
He could see only darkness. He heard water running in from one of the rooms where the mini bomb went off. He could hear the water push off the bodies of the dead vampires and furniture. Then he heard someone step in the water on the floor and he shot right at the noise. He hit the vampire's foot and made him scream. When the vampire was screaming he charged him and stabbed his heart shoving him to the floor. He got up with his guns ready. He then shouted, "You're the last one left, why hide!?"
Aaron shouted, "I'll be damned before I'm killed by a human." Aaron then jumped from the second floor and tried to grab him. He casual walked forward a few steps after shooting a couple bullets at Aaron in mid-air. Aaron landed on the ground face in the water. He rolled Aaron over, while Aaron was still stunned from the fall and bullets, and put his guns away. "Who the fuck are you" Aaron asked with the rest of the strength he had left.
He simply smiled, pulled out his hunting knife and said, "Some one you don't want to piss off." After he said that he stabbed Aaron in the heart with his knife. He put the knife back in its sheath and went out the back door.
He moved slowly through the back alleys and to to the old garage. He made sure that the area he walked through where mostly covered by shadows. When he got to the garage he didn't hesitate to get on his bike and get out of there. He quickly gassed his bike for his apartment. No human could have seen him in the dark and he killed all the vampires in that house so, he was safe for now. He got to his apartment parked his bike and went inside. As soon as he got inside he toke off his jacket, then boots/socks, then his t-shirt. He went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror for any cuts, bruises, or bites. He had many bruises from diving into the rec room and fighting hand to hand with some of the vampires but luckily no cuts or bites. He expected this; it was his first hit on this town. It's going to get harder the more parties and houses he hit.
But, after checking his bruises he turned on the shower to full heat and got fully undressed. He then stepped into the shower. He let the hot water hit his face and every part of his skin. He didn't feel the heat at all but even if he did he didn't care. He didn't want to sleep at all. He washed all the blood off, and more. When he got out of the shower he had steam rolling off of his skin. He then grabbed a new pair of black pants and boxers, and then he went to his new laptop and started to look up the history of the town.
Lara woke up to her alarm clock. She always set her alarm just in case she fell a sleep. She turned it off and stretched feeling better after a nights rest. She got changed into white jeans, and a red spaghetti strap. She looked in the mirror and saw her face was the same it has been for the last 207 years, but slightly pale. She grabbed her bag and left for her car. She got in her car and toke a few deep breathes. She then started her car and drove to school.
When she got there she was more relaxed after driving. She walked up to the school and noticed groups of people whispering and chatting quietly. She ignored it thinking it was more gossip. She walked to her locker and put up her stuff. She then noticed people talking more in groups about it. She listened closely to what a blonde girl was saying.
Blonde girl, "I'm serious."
Tall black guy, "How much did you drink at that party."
Blonde girl, "Look, I went back after the house got all flooded and there were cops there, a lot of em. I was able to see a lil inside the house and oh my god." She looked like she was about to throw up.
"What?" asked one of the girl's friends?
"There where bodies all over the place, said the blonde girl, "it was gross there was bullet holes, blood, and bodies every where. The place was a wreck."
Tall black guy, "And this was at Aaron's party?!" Lara tried to listen some more but the bell rang for them to go to class. During her first hour, Geometry, Lara could only think about what the blonde girl said. It kept rolling over and over again in her mind. Who did it? How did they do it? Why did they do it? Did they have help? More and more questions went through her head, in till she came to an idea. The hunters are the only ones capable of such things. The bell rang again for the class to end and she didn't intend to go to second hour. She rushed of to find Jonathan, another vampire in the school, the only one she trusted, and was a part time cop.
She found him near his locker. Jonathan was slim, 5'11, with a dirty blonde short hair. He always wore torn up, or worn out clothes. "Can I talk to you real quick?" Lara asked quickly.
Jonathan seeing the panicked look in her eyes, said, "Sure." The both walked outside to the football field bleachers. Lara kept quit for a while not sure what to say. After a while there was still silence. He finally spoke for her, "I know about Aaron's party, humans spread info fast."
"What do you think did it?" she asked hoping for a more insightful answer.
Jonathan sighed and said, "Probably the same thing you think, Hunters. I was wondering when they would find this town just didn't know it would be this soon." Lara knows all to well how concealed the town is.
"What should we do?"
"It's simple, wait. We can't do anything right now we have to wait in till we know for sure what's going on." With that he walked off leaving Lara with more questions then answers. She skipped the rest of the day and wandered to her favorite shops around. She was hoping to relax and forget about everything.
EDIT: Including transcriptions of the chapters, (and will edit prior posts with recordings attached to include them), since they're generally pretty short. Typos and formatting are as originally written, except paragraphs are broken up with a line rather than an indent.
I would love a full transcript of this, I sort of want to do a dramatic reading now too.
I have the transcript for chapter 5 done, working on chapter 6. Sick af currently, so I'm not recording. Have fun with it!
Chapter 5
He started to walk around food stores and get what he could before he had to make sure he stayed hidden. He still had plenty of money from the vampire bank he robbed at the last town he was at. Luckily he left no trace that it was him who robbed the bank. But, to be on the safe side he has spent a good amount of it on his equipment, clothes, and food.
He was walking around Wal-Mart looking at the fruits and vegetables. He was warring a new set of clothes; black t-shirt, black leather jacket, black jeans, and his black work boots. He was walking through the section when he could hear a bunch of students, skippers, in the next section over talk about the Aarons party. He could make out two guys and a girl. The first guy said, "Man I'm so glad I didn't go to that party."
The girl asked, "Why you glad?"
The second guy, "You didn't hear what happened last night?!"
"No," said the girl, "What happened?"
Second guy said, "Someone killed Aaron and the other people there."
"WHAT!?" the girl said in shocked.
"There where bodies every where, and bullet holes in the wall." the second guy explained.
The girl said, "Ho my god."
The first guy added, "The weirdest part was that they don't even have a clue on who did it, that or they do and won't say who." He stopped listening in after that. He made sure no one would know it was him and if they even had a hint it wouldn't have helped. He didn't want any one human or vampire to know it was him, not yet any way.
The water helped wash away any foot print he might have left behind. There where so many people at the party they can't get a clean finger print. His guns and knife can be bought at any guns store. That and he got them custom-made off of a black-market deal.
He finished his shopping in Wal-Mart and walked out. He got on his crotch rocket and drove back to the apartments. He put his things away quickly and neatly. He caught a glimpse of the laptop he broke last night. He didn't find anything on the history of the town but some one tried to trace him. So he quickly broke the laptop. No point in trying to stop the trace through computer walls, they used advanced tracers.
He knew he had to be more careful now when looking at things about the town. But, that's not what seemed weird to him. It was that someone would try to trace on him so quickly. They usually wait for two or three more hits to do full traces on hunters. Even if he wasn't a hunter, the vampires thought he was so he left it at that.
He started to finish putting his things away. Once everything was put away neatly from the store he grabbed the bike keys and went out the door. He locked the door and jumped on his bike. He knew exactly where he was going. The vampire side of the city wasn't that hard to find since it was the actual city part of Darmez. It had business buildings, big apartments/houses, warehouses that look brand new, and many different bars. He drove around a little bit in each area of this part of the city, memorizing what he could about the area.
Many vampires where in this area with few humans, the humans where mostly business workers. The vampires watched him some with a cautious look and others with a look of interest. He ignored their looks and gestures paying attention to the environment only memorizing the details. When he knew he over stayed his welcome in the vampire area he left back to his apartment.
The vampires knew what happened, either they didn't care or they thought it was a random attack. Either way he didn't care that left him room to hit another party. He simply drove by the school listening to the students. He heard random subjects some about sports, some about girls or boys, and others about the Aaron's party. He finally heard a group of jocks mention a grand opening party at a bar that they where going to sneak into. The bar was called After Dark. He then drove to the apartments again. When he got to the apartment he pulled out a small pack to put on his bike. If the party was at a bar, he would need more items this time.
~~~~~~~

Lara couldn't help but think about Aaron's party all day. She hated him and everything about him, but she couldn't help wonder if she could have helped. She kept asking all these questions that lingered in her head and haunted her every thought. Her mind was full of question and possibilities but no answer.

She needed to relax for a time so she headed to her favorite bar, Midnight Rise. She drove there trying to push the thought of Aaron's party out of her mind. When she got there she didn't wait for the doorman to give her permission she just moved past him. She went straight to the bar and said, "Give me a Latirano on the rocks."

"That's a heavy drink for someone like you." Hearing her old masters voice she turned around quickly. She was in shock. The last time she saw him was about 157 years ago. He said, "It's been a while hasn't it."

Lara stammered and said, "Yes it has." That's all the words she could find. Her master ust smiled and said, "Shock can quickly do things to the mind, young Lara as you already know. Emotions are nothing but weaknesses. I thought that you learned how to push them away and out of you mind. But, yet you sit here gorging on drinks, with frustration."

She mustered up her thoughts and made sure she spoke clear, "I've been unsure of things since what happened at Aaron's party. Which I'm sure you already know what happened." She knew all to well what her old master does before he goes to a town. He makes sure he knows things no one else knew. He knew everything about everything before he even came close to a town. He would use every resource he could. He knew them all from legal documents, from top secret information, and from street information.

Lara scanned him for a second to see what had changed about him, not much. He was about 6'3, his black long hair was in a pony tail, he's eyes solid black like most elders have, and he still has the blade scar across he's left eye. He wore a black trench coat, with a black t-shirt, and black dress pants and dress shoes. To humans he would look like he was in his mid 30's, but he was actually 500 years old.

"Still as fresh as when I turned you. You even have your beautiful hair, and skin. I said it once and I'll say it again, when you turned into a vampire nothing about your beauty changed.He often flattered her before and after she was a vampire. She hated it now more than ever. "And yes your right my sweet Lara. I do know what happened to Aaron. Not so surprising, but I'm shocked it didn't happen sooner."

Shocked she slipped the word, "What?!"Lara couldn't believe it but then again she could. Her master was always so cruel and heartless you'd think he was never human. She then tried to hide away her shock and started to walk out of the bar. She didn't want anything more to do with her old master. She wasn't even sure how much longer she would have sat there and toke he's emotionless taunts.

He shouted at her before she left, " You need to feed soon. You're growing pale and you remember what happened the last time you almost starved yourself." She rushed out of there quickly so she didn't hear more. She hated that memory worst of all the others about being a vampire.

Unfortunately Lara couldn't drive home yet. Her old master was right she needed to feed no matter how much she hated it. Slowly the memory of what happened that night floated in her head. No matter how much she didn't want to think about it, the memory was still there.

The last time she almost starved herself to death was about 180 years ago. Lara didn't like drinking blood at all. She hated the fact that she needs to drink it in order to live. She thought she had grown strong enough to resist its temptations. Blood was like a rich wine that slides so soft and slowly down the throat. She believed that it was only temptation that made her hunger for it but she was wrong.

Lara had been starving herself for the whole month. She didn't feed at all the month before and fought the hunger for almost all of this month. It was night, she was thirsty and wanted something anything to drink. She was just passing a farm when she spotted a horse. She saw an open wound on its neck. She wasn't sure from what but she didn't care. The only thing she knew was that in the horse was blood and she could smell it fresh off of the wound. She quickly moved towards the horse to feed. The horse wanted to pull away from her but it was tied up. She finally bit into the open wound as she tackled the horse down. The farmer must have heard the horse because he and his wife came out side.

They saw Lara drinking blood from their now dead horse. The farmer grabbed a pitchfork and shouted at her to leave calling her a witch. She saw him flailing the pitchfork around but didn't care. She still hungered for blood and the farmer had fresh blood running through his veins. After the farmer swung the pitch fork at her she tackled him and bit into his neck. The farmer screamed at first but was quickly relaxed in till he was finally dead.

Lara moved her lips away from the farmer's neck now more full of blood but she craved more. She heard whimpering coming from his wife that was hiding in one of the corners of the house. When Lara looked at her direction she ran screaming, "HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME!" Lara gave chase and grabbed her from behind biting into her neck. She wailed and flailed about trying to get Lara off of her. But, soon she stopped trying from getting weaker and weaker from how much Lara was drinking. Finally there was no more blood in the woman's veins and Lara dropped her.

When everything was done Lara looked around to see the after math of what she had done. She first looked at the horse that was dead on the ground. Then her eyes ran over to the farmer who had blood flowing from his neck. Finally she moved her eyes to his wife that was pale as snow from having no blood in her veins. While looking down Lara could see the blood that drenched her dress and leaked from her mouth.

Lara walked about a block trying to push the memory out of her head. She kept walk down away from all the drunks she hated the taste of alcohol in the blood of a human, she didn't mind in bar drinks. She saw a little group of teenagers a little ways down. There where two couples in the group and there was a fifth wheeler, lonely and willing. He saw her and she knew he liked her by the way he looked. She walked slowly into small alley and nodded her head into the alley for him to fallow. It didn't take him much time to come to a decision. He went straight into the alley and walked up to her. He was about to say something when Lara put her fingers to his lips. She then starts to kiss his neck while pushing him against the wall. She then bit his neck, he jerked but only for a second. Humans enjoy vampire bites; it's a pure pleasure to them. She drank off him for a while but set him up against the wall. When she was done she licked the bite mark clean to help it heal up faster. She then put her hand on his head, in order for her to manipulate or see someone's mind she has to touch them. It didn't have to be on the head but it made it easier for her to concentrate. She slowly went through his mind and to his memories. She found the memory of when he saw her. She erased that memory and made him think that he walked over here and got drunk instead of meeting her.

She left the alley with more color in her skin thanks to the new blood now in her veins. She was ready to leave, so she walked towards the bar. When she got there she went straight to her car and was ready to drive home. She walked up to her car and was about to leave in till she saw Jonathan leaning up against her car. He had a frustrated look on his face that of a gambler who just lost a bet. Lara asked, "What's wrong?"

Jonathan sighed heavily and said, "There's been another hit."

EDIT: There are 24 chapters total, so I'll at least get transcripts up more quickly. In Chapter 6, Daren pretends to get drunk and is a murderous edgelord again.
