Excuse my ignorance if this is normal and sorry if this has already been brought up, but the way Derich pronounces his own name is fucking weird (to me at least):

It is supposed to be pronounced the same way as Derek/Derrick and any other variation, it's just that Derich is such a super special boy he can't even pronounce his name right. Unless he does the German pronunciation which would be the way he pronounces it (Derich is just a variant of Dietrich which comes from Theodoric) but then again Derich doesn't live in Germany does he.
Right, and DSP always pronounces it like Derek and he's never been corrected to my knowledge.

I feel like this is most likely the case of him being super special. I speak several of the ching-chong languages and not one would read his name like that. It feels like he's saying his username or a nickname that he or someone he knows has given him.
