225 for Mario/Rabbids tonight. Completely understandable because watching him play that game is boring as shit. He was getting his ass kicked by a mid boss and restarted the battle before he actually lost. Watching him play this game and the new Dishonored have a lot of similarities. They both have a lot of Phil aiming a cursor places it is obvious he can't move to, and reloading saves after he fucks up. All we need is the rage quit to make it complete which I don't see happening but didn't see it coming with the four hour long Dishonored dlc so who knows.

The funny thing about Phil playing Spyro is the SoK was really excited for this game to be selected. They tweeted at him, posted in the forums (using burner accounts of course), mentioned it in stream chat, etc to subliminally get Phil to add it to the list of games in the Paymetons choice and eventually play the game.

How hilarious and fitting would it be for Phil to play Spyro the month after the SoK imploded.
:story:

PS Fuck You Fred.

PSS I know the game has likely been chosen at this point. I am trying to catch up 50 pages.

Is it Spyro 1 in the poll or just Spyro in general?

Spyro 1 is probably harder than Sunshine just from its stiff controls and lack of abilities, no climbing and no flutter at the end of a glide. I always found Spyro 1 harder to 100% than the others for some reason..

I'm really excited to have @EddyB43 posting in the DSP thread and the cool thing is that he doesn't have tokeep it to 140 characters.

Last year Dishonored 2 was a viewership trainwreck for DSP - I remember him complaining when he went on break for the premiere about viewers leaving, and then for the 2nd stream later that night he had a 10+ minute informal prestream while waiting for viewers to turn up... going from ~100 to eventually accepting 200 viewers, with a peak under 300 viewers.
View attachment 281029
In the end he would complain that this was his weekend & he needed the views... and they didn't come.
My thoughts at the time were because he decided to do a high violence run with very little stealth with the new female protagonist, and the game was surprisingly easy. People expected stealth fails like Dishonored 1, DSP skipped stealth & so people left. Yet a year later & DSP is actually trying stealth, failing at it... and still people apparently leave. He just can't catch a break.
EDIT:

DSP does have a Wii, but the problem there is the Wii can't do HDMI out - DSP's component capture devices broke or were sold. Yes, his $3K lemon is more than powerful enough to emulate Sunshine on the GameCube, but he'd need to accept he's configured Xsplit/OBS/OBS Studio poorly over the years and switch to NVENC GPU encoding. I get the impression he's adamant about NEVER doing that because he'd look foolish, the "lemon" wasn't a lemon after all, he could have been playing superior PC versions of new releases for years.

Well, he did quit a Lego game after insisting that it should have checkpoints, so it's very likely if he encounters any real trouble.

I can't see how him playing Mario + Rabbids can be enjoyable. He can't do strategy to save his life.

Personally I really enjoyed it. It was hard but not too hard which means Phil must be having a hell of a time with it.

I am on-board with this as well. We don't know how far the IRS is in the audit process but by the sound of this they could be further along as he is discussing about losing his house. My guess is they audited him back a couple of years found a whole bunch of illegal deductions and now he owes back taxes.

A couple of other things:
He specifically called out the detractors for this. How we have to be skepticalof every word of his mouth, but the IRS could have been tipped off from detractors and they decided to take s closer look. I have seen for a couple of months people posting on detractor videos direct links to the IRS website to file a complaint/inquiry or whatever the IRS calls it.

If you remember back to a video in 2016 where Phil is discussing why he can't accept PayPal die to his business. Well he said that the "Dean of Accounting " from a college in CT did his taxes - which I think it is a lie but it would be interesting and he got audited and still had this Dean doing his taxes.

Speaking of PayPal, I wonder what he did in order to set that up? Maybe he cut some corners?

Lots of speculation still, but we can look forward to him slipping up one day and spilling the beans.

I thought about that as well.
Since this idiot is most likely writing his video games, burgers and potentially everything he buys as a "business expense", I wouldn't be surprised the least...

Speaking of ragequits, he hasn't been quitting games a lot this year.
Compare it to last year where he ragequit well over 10 games (I think the final count was like 13, or so) and got a lot of shit because of that.

It's hard to maintain that whole "I never ragequit" lie when even the utter morons who follow DSP see him ragequit games every couple days.

Glad my digging on his property tax was well received it was a hard graft to find considering his name is changed lol.

Anyway saw some people weee finding it hard to find the HOA details for palm court, I'm sure Joan would offer up that info in a clash to a prospective buyer who contast her..

The EVO 4th place finish is a vital component of his sense of self. That, and his ability to make a terrible mockery of meatballs and tomato sauce. His business was the third part of the Triforce of 'Tism that is his self-image, but he's been disavowing that lately, so what's left? His hardcore e-begging?

Well at least if everything else in your world is completely falling apart, you can always take solace in the embrace of your loyal and loving partner in life. DSP will still always have his girlfr-

...oohhh.

Yesterday's MvCI stream was great, unless you were Phil. He decided to try out Thanos and Captain Marvel, did their trials and went into training mode for far too long on top of being super-late to this stream. Then he went online and the glory began. He lost the first five matches and became salty. Realizing that he was shit with Captain Marvel even after the training he switched to Thanos and Hulk. Also, he didnt bother to try out any of the Infinity Stones (a new mechanic introduced to this game) other than the Soul Stone, which can revive a knocked-out character, a tactic that helped him winning close matches (read: cheese way to win).

For someone who claims to be one of the top 5 MvC1 players back then he was such a scrub in Infinite. Basically he started the matches with Thanos shield, then jump forward kick to start a 50% health combo, tried the same one or two combos with Hulk and spammed super whenever he had meter. He complained about massive combo strings (a Jedah pulled a 65 hit combo against him) but never wanted to use a meter on guard. There have been a Chun Li player who played him dizzy and he got almost perfected twice.

His fighting record is rather not FGC-level: when he edited his combo card the statistics have shown a 39-28 record, and yesterday he went out with 18-17. He pendled between 13th and 14th rank and got his ass handed over by a 12th rank opponent (playing Ultron I think). That's not the kind of professional playing he keeps to brag about. Instead he came up with every excuse in the book, insulting Capcom, the opponents, the stream chat, basically everyone. He blamed lag, input delay etc. - while using none of the combos from his long-ass training session.

With about 730 or so viewers, after he won the final match, he instantly stopped playing and went to din din time, despite the game giving him the highest views in a while. He really tries to avoid multiplayer as much as possible, he praises the Dragon Ball game he played in beta last Sunday and you can clearly see he wants to go back to USF2. Being on the edge of ragequitting the game yesterday, I don't think there will be much more sessions of Phil playing MvCI.

By the way his stream chat went rogue because there were no mods, or the mods didn't do anything. And Phil received a lot of heat for his complaints and playstyle. He had to swing the banhammer and didn't read out shoutouts with honest advices. "Be nice to me" means he can be mean to everyone else.

Thread title: "As a fan since 09', DSP needs to step away from YouTube/Twitch NOW."

FloydMayweather:
"How can he keep on living like this? Staying up until 6 am watching movies full of stress is not healthy physically or mentally, these are the words of somebody who is broken. The guy needs a break from the internet, period for his own sanity before who knows what can happen."

KGhaleon:
"Yeah, people have been telling him that for a while. He's not going to give up on his current lifestyle until he loses his house or something."

Veera:
"We've all been giving him advice. What else do you expect us to do? Go to his house and stage an intervention? If he chooses not to listen to our advice, it's completely on him. He's had a lot of different potential options shown to him by us, but he has to be the one to make a change if that's what he thinks is best."

Woof:
"Since I have been on this forum, I have seen with a few exceptions the majority of the users give dsp good advice on saving money or boosting his patreon/channels viewership etc, it's not like we are actively encouraging him to rack up more debt."

Also just wanted to mention the whole "its not a business" thing. A lot of people are saying this is an indication that Phil is trying to avoid some sort of legal responsibility that comes with calling it a "business".

I think the real reason may be that Phil is actually starting to just now see the cracks in his world.
It's not a business if you can't sell it, it's not a business if you can't have another person take it over for a few months, it's not a business if its solely based on you.

From an 'investment' perspective, Phil's business is not an investment, because its only ever going to be worth as much as it is right now. It might make double what its making now, but its not solid, its a day to day thing.

There's no "just sell the business" option, because Phil has looked at this like a "business" for so long. It may be that with Phil's financial troubles he is just starting to realize that what he does isn't as much of a business as he'd hoped.
