This just popped into the DSP subreddit. It appears someone was able to screencap/ increase the resolution of DSP's awful webcam and holy shit, this dude looks awful.
I strongly believe that Phil's reluctance in upgrading his webcam comes from the fact that he's a shallow and insecure cuck and absolutely does care about his looks contrary to what he claims. A new HD webcam capturing at 1080p/ 4K would demonstrate the years of abuse his body has been put under from an extreme sedentary lifestyle where muscle atrophy, an accumulation of fat, a lack of exercise, and overall vitamin D deficiency have taken its toll.
This picture speaks volumes to the "Are we jealous of Phil's success?" thread that's been resurrected: seriously guys, forget about the relatively small amount of money this guy makes, you should never, ever be jealous of someone who had to sacrifice the conventionalities of a normal life to enable himself to shake his tin cap cup to collect quarters in perpetuity. Dignity, inner peace, and harmony within oneself do not have a sticker price. Phil is the perennial example that money shouldn't be the end all, be all of everything in life.

Holy shit that's horrifying and brilliant in an eyes wide shut sort of way, think about it he keeps using the Russian potato camera because he conditions people into thinking that's what he looks like so in the off chance one of the fathers of the wheelchairs finds out where he is on his day off to call him out on why his credit card has all these charges he won't believe it's him he'll think it's the Pigroach's uncle or just some random homeless guy.

What a cunty, passive-aggressive message to send to their users. "...to give you the chance to learn about copyright law", get fucked. Twitch and DSP are made for one another.
People aren't jealous of Phil. They're jealous of the opportunities he's squandered. His early youtube success. A moderately popular twitch stream. The multiple chances he gets after being banned by platforms. How he squanders it all by being lazy. You see it when all the money he's wasted gets brought up especially. It certainly isn't everyone, most people are just baffled, but this board is riddled with autistic a-logs who hate Phil and others who would have done it better.
I don't even know where to begin with all of this...
Like, he's trying to pretend that he's trying to preemptively stop jokes made at his expense, but that's part of the joke... He freaks out because people bring up 'waifus' all the time, but people bring it up because of how hilarious his freak out is. He has some serious deep-seated issues, man... There's no way that someone this uncomfortable with something in a game is actively being physical or intimate with his partner.
I would place bets on Dave and Kat sleeping in separate beds if they're in the same room at all.
So FE:Three Houses didn't have an Awakening-esque child system, did it? So did he completely dodge S level supports? In that same vein, he played Persona 5, right? Did he swerve on the social link confessions?

Right, the vast majority of forum users are not jealous but I've seen a few stragglers who have expressed frustrations at their inability to make as much money as he does even though they work harder and perform more fulfilling tasks in their day-to-day life.
As someone also mentioned in that thread, success is a completely subjective concept. For some people, success is earned through the creation of a household and subsequent raising of a family environment. For others, it's through their ability to flaunt their attained wealth. But if you use the standards by which a capitalist system bases success on, it's based on the value you can create and the derived income you can produce from such a value. If you use this standard, it's a monumental achievement that Phil earns the success that he does given that what he produces has absolutely no value or quality attached to it; it's the lowest common denominator of amateurly-created content yet he is able to eke out a living from it.
Phil is just a grotesque example that life is unfair. By all standards, the pig should not be able to attain the life that he has as he happens to be a Homer Simpson of sorts. Being intelligent, honest, hard-working does not mean you will be successful as history is littered with examples of people exhibiting such traits but dying in misery while some of the most despicable individuals (i.e. famous make-up YouTubers) happen to be rich beyond most people's wildest dreams.
I think that's where a lot of the frustration comes from: someone like DSP should be living in abject poverty and have an excruciatingly difficult life as his behavior almost demands divine retribution but instead he is experiencing the opposite. All things should be taken within context as we're physically watching this guy decay before our eyes so he can keep living in an isolated environment to forever shake his tin can cup.

Its funny he says to people that not everything is black and white yet that is his attitude towards a lot of things.
You're either neutral to characters or wanting to spend every waking moment with some chinese cartoon waifu. You either don't like anime or you're covering every square inch with posters and dolls of your favourite waifu. He's either casually playing games and having fun with his streaming audience or he's commiting adultery by doing a romance side quest.
The screenshots in @Third_World_Detractor 's post just highlights how out of touch he is, and watching his back and fourth about the subject with stream chat is like trying to explain internet memes to a grandma with a flip phone.
The only times I've ever seen Phil change behavior is when money started being affected by said behavior. He's not doing oversexualised jokes because he's scared he gets perma banned off twitch and/or YouTube if he just said that and carried on people wouldn't annoy him about waifu shit.
Its because he makes it weird by equating romance quest line with cheating on his wife. That people pester him about it.
