and, he lied 1000 times during his bankruptcy hearing

That legitimately pissed me off. He blatantly lied in court. He concealed assets, and lied about expenses on the record. Not only did he get away with it, but the court didn't seem to do any verification at all in the first place. I wasn't aware that bankruptcy was such a relaxed part of the legal system.

It wasn't the bankruptcy court's job to challenge Phil's bullshit expenses spreadsheet. It was the creditors' job and they don't care because they're "too big to fail."

It was the court's job to determine if Phil had assets that could be used to pay his debts. They did that. He's almost 40, has made six figures for around half of his adult life, and he has literally nothing to show for it other than a middle unit condo on which he has barely touched the principle but lucked into an increased value, and a financed 2017 Toyota sedan that he still hasn't paid off.

Nancy: So you kids use these YOU Tubes thingamajiggers to travel to see people play around in their own personal Nintendo TrainStation Fives? What do you do with the other 4 stations? Wow, no wonder you're spending so much money. You know back in my day games only cost a nickel which had pictures of bumble bees on them. You'd say gimme five bees for a quarter. Now where was I? Oh yeah, back then I tied an onion to my belt. Which was the style at the time.

Phil: Thats right your Ahner ACKACKACKACKACK.

At least you get paid for it.

it's my hobby not my job, so no, i don't.

i only get paid when people deem to give me commissions, which i'm grateful for, i mean, i bought a 200$ tv and an 800$ PC off this hobby, but i've also been doing it for 10 years, so.

but hey, it scratches my creative itch and i get to make video games with out 8 years of college and 4 years of hard work.

and i mean i also left out the part of the conversation where my response was "well, get fucked then?" which is also a benefit of this not being my job, i suppose.

Sounds to me like you could benefit greatly from solid crowdfunding advice.
Have you considered asking people for $50 in exchange for you putting on glasses? This method never fails, you don't even have to worry about showing up on time.

Harada-san is one of the best game devs out there. Also Tekken 7 is nothing but bullshit counter hit juggles that deal 90% damage off one hit and scrubby rage mode.

Also, Phil calling James Chen "Sir" is giving off strong desperate begging energy. Phil is never positive about anyone else in life without looking for something, now he's desperately looking to attach himself to people who went on to become actually successful from his fighting game heyday. He clearly knows James is a very successful caster but he's going to pretend like he doesn't know that so it comes across like Phil was a big shot FGC OG, rubbing shoulders with Justin Wong and that little friendly James Chen. "Gee shucks who'd have thought 15 years on we'd all be internet celebrities reminiscing on twitter".

Just to be clear Phil:

Justin Wong is genuinely one of greatest fighting game players of all time and has won major tournaments across multiple games and has sponsorships with Astro gaming and Monster Energy.

James Chen has become one of the all time great casters and is one of the faces of Street Fighter and a (somewhat) well respected pioneer within competitive fighting games.

You came 4th at EVO one year on a broken port of SFII and parlayed that into $100,000 of credit card debt and can now be found balancing toilet paper on your head for money from the three deranged autists that fund your entire life.

It doesn't matter how many people from back in the day respond to your desperate pleas for attention on twitter, you're not gonna clean your image via association unfortunately.

"so if you have a bunch of little things rendering on screen, it increases the bit-rate limitation and gets all pixalted"

increases the bit-rate limitation? what the fuck does that mean? it increases the limit for bit-rate?

i'm no streamer but i thought higher bit-rate was good, also i just heard phil say "hold LB to active.....the Lightbringer" and it made me laugh.

This dude is calling him ignorant for what? Dsp is the definition of ignorant he has no experience with how the game works beyond the scrub stuff he’s doing with it online. He literally admitted to not watching any tournaments today lol

Phil's white flag of "y-yeah well, how about you do some research nudnik!" as if it somehow proves his point really is a mental gymnastic of the highest degree. Most other FGC types would actually be able to aruge the pros and cons of most fighting games but Phil can't form an argument aside from whatever way the winds blow on twitter, I doubt even the grovelling to Geoff, James and Justin will hide the fact he's still a know-nothing laughing stock.

Phil's attempts at empathy come across like some weird AI trying to make sentances. A normal response would be "You're doing a great job out there man, wearing your heart on your sleeve for the scene you love is a bold move and many people aren't strong enough to show that kind of emotion. Keep doing what you do best!" but instead he's writing as if the guy's fucking passed away. I guess this is his atrophied social skills finally being put on show, how embarrasing for all involved.

objective and subjective - 2 words that Phil must have learned from his "word a day" calendar and which he now uses all too often and incorrectly.
He uses them as code words. 'Subjective' are the emotional-based opinions of everyone else.
'Objective' are Phil's opinions, which are based only in stone cold reality and hard facts, and are therefore not really opinions so much as they are complete, universal truths.
See, Phil is always factually correct. People can have the opinions that they want and they're welcome to have them (not really, though), but they're always factually wrong compared to what Phil thinks. You need to acknowledge he is fundamentally correct and you are arguing for your preferences and your preferences alone.
He uses them pretty efficiently to communicate his narcissitic worldview.

Tips goal hit solely through GaryBKK who's literally the only one who's given him money (sorry, "support") this stream. Organic growth.
He also, in the flatest tone I've ever heard, said that he was unsure what prompted this generosity.
GaryBKK tips like this on a regular basis and has for months. Why is he pretending this is unexpected?

He's also pissy that people are asking him to put the TP on his head again. That was a silly thing he did the other night, so stop asking.
You can only expect clowning when Phil is in the mood to clown.

Also, he used to single handed reach the $200 tips goal for the day, so it's normal that he would cover both tips goal today.

What is funny about it is how he waits to see if someone will tip before him so he doesn't have to tip the entire thing hahahaha
