There's a quote from (the now late) Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh that I'm reminded of:

"A monk decides to meditate alone. Away from his monastery, he takes a boat and goes to the middle of the lake, closes his eyes and begins to meditate. After a few hours of unperturbed silence, he suddenly feels the blow of another boat hitting his. With his eyes still closed, he feels his anger rising and, when he opens his eyes, he is ready to shout at the boatman who dared to disturb his meditation. But when he opened his eyes, he saw that it was an empty boat, not tied up, floating in the middle of the lake. At that moment, the monk achieves self-realization and understands that anger is within him; it simply needs an external object to provoke it."

So much of Dave's Twitter is full of anger. Anger that the world is not how it should be, and how this constitutes injustice, and injustice against himself, personally. It's not the world doing that to you, Dave. It's you doing that to you. You are an angry and bitter person looking for something else to blame for making you angry, when all along, the anger is inside of you.

Of course, Dave has no plans to actually do something about all of these injustices aside from making impotent tweets/prayers to the Justice God that never get answered, probably because there is no Justice God. He believes in an external locus of control because he doesn't want the responsibility that comes from having an internal locus of control, because that would mean that his anger and unhappiness are his own fault.

I love how Dave and his ilk have no plans for how exactly they are going to stop all of these social problems that they lay at the feet of capitalism, other than a vague idea of some kind of communist revolution, which never amounts to anything more than Twitter sperging. Like if he's just really super serious enough and tweets the right magic words, maybe the Justice God will answer his prayers and smite Zak and all those cryptobros?

It's especially funny how the antifascist/anarcho-communists like Dave want a powerful state than can forcibly suppress dissent. You don't hate fascism, Dave. You just hate that you're not one.

It's a trend I've noticed in the commie ttrpg-verse that none of them realize their games would be suppressed under the system and they themselves would be labeled dissidents.
