I generally get an impression that the guy wasn't much of a talker online or off. Nobody seems to know much about the guy, and he seems to have almost deliberately swapped his playername a bunch to avoid a bad rep.

It's also sort of interesting to note, a lot of the Madden fans knew each other - but nobody seems to have interacted much with Katz in any of his usernames. So odds are he may of genuinely not left much of a social footprint to begin with.

It's worth noting the footage doesn't show who's going head to head. When it switches to venue camera there's a small crowd in the background, about the most I can make out is the louder guy telling the other to step off.
