From what I've seen from MUT forums, the best way to protect from nano blitzing in Madden was to shift your O Line, and run PA plays...both are things that people bitched about him doing constantly in the MUT forums from earlier in this thread (nano blitzing and running only PA plays).

It's a bitch move. Katz does have some level of skill, but what likely happened is he nanos the fuck out of ranked play to get invited to tournaments, then played straight when with the big boys so they wouldn't call him out on his shit.

From what I've read, he was basically doing weird, specific, counterintuitive plays that SHOULD never work in the NFL.

But due to EA quality programming, those specific, weirdo plays would royally fuck with the AI-controlled players on the other team and result in them leaving recievers open even when told to cover them.


TL;DR - He exploited Madden's shitty AI to glitch the other team.

Having worked for Electronic Arts in the past, I can tell you that for their sports games they never EVER update their core engine if they can at all help it. The AI, graphics, rules, mocap, all that shit they do every year to slap a coat of whitewash on it and sell the same product as last year. Netcode, tools and libraries, etc. all carry over as often as possible. So not at all surprised to find a cheesing tactic from years ago that still functions.
