Well, one of the reasons why the original show was good was precisely because Maddox was a sperg that took it seriously to some degree, with Vito both hosts are just trying to be funny, so its never going to be quite the same.

I recently relistened to all BPITU episodes & TDS episodes, so here's my autistic hottakes:
The rebooted BPITU with Vito is better than current TDS, but Vito is not enough like Maddox to recreate the golden formula.
Dick needs someone to get the ball rolling which also showed in his Dr Phil clip, he's good at milking stupidity.
His own comedy is utter shit though, since it mostly resorts to contrarian or retarded takes & mispronouncing words on purpose; earliest example I can think of is mispronouncing "alcoholics" to pretend he didn't know what it meant because he drank so much, latest example is the "riding with biding". Such funny.
The milking of 'Hot Goss' and harping #maddoxlost (and the worst "MY GARBAGES") can be somewhat excused since it obviously worked the numbers and it did give some funny stuff like the lolsuit since Maddox kept doing stupid shit by fucking with Dax irl.
At this point it's like that overused Simpsons meme, Maddox is already dead and has been for years now, stop beating up his dead body and riding his enigma.
Create some content on your own for once, where's the new book, what happened to Dick riding, or that stupid concept no one actually wants or is looking forward to called Sillypants Skating Routine.
I did love MABTW, but I'm not confident he'd be able to create something like that again but I'd love to be proven wrong.
Another painful thing to realize is when you listen to BPITU + the older TDS episodes and compare it to how Dick / Dax sounds in the newer episodes; the throat garble, the constant throat scraping in his best DSP impression, more loud = funny (especially the intro has gotten worse and worse). Is it all the drugs? Alcohol? Age? I have no clue but it's not for the better imo.

He used his fame to get laid (I bet Jamie Faketits is just the tip of the slutberg) which is what every celeb in history has done before him, so it would be unjust to hold that over him.
His personality does seem to align with "age is just a number, so who cares if a girl is just a bit under 18" but that doesn't make someone a pedo who faps to little kids or worse. I agree with most of this, but I don't think Dick was ever famous to the point where is was actually getting him laid. I don't think people were recognizing him or anything like that. I only know who he is because of the killstream, and I only know what that is because of Metokour. Like, literally no one outside a small internet bubble even knows who Dick Masterson is. I do think there's a certain breed of thot who will fuck someone with a minor online presence for clout, and I think that's more what he has going on.
