Hmmm. I’m gonna say in a surprising twist that Becky dies first. Her lethargy and reckless driving are giving me some weird vibes. I’m gonna say she dies unexpectedly in the next 3 years. Or maybe she will just leave ALR and therefore “die” in her heart. The saga definitely feels like it’s coming to a close, one way or another.

Could she legit die if everything goes sideways? There's no way they'd let hambeast buy as much food as she does now. What would happen if her caloric intake was suddenly reduced to a normal person's?

If shes hospitalized due to covid19 that would definitely hurt her ability to binge.

She'd start losing weight for once. It's not like making a starving anorexic cram herself with food. Look at MSHPL, they only follow the dietary restriction to prove they're gonna stick to it, not give their bodies an adjustment period or anything.

If she were hospitalized, she would not get huge amounts of crap food, and her visitors would be limited, so she'd drop a lot of weight, but I wouldn't want to be on her care team or the other poor soul rooming with her.

If she catches CoVD, chances are she'd end up on a ventilator. Maybe. Triage is ugly & if contracted CoVD late enough in the pandemic, she might not make the triage cut. Even if a vent was available, keeping everything stable would be a bitch at the best of times - too many of her systems are teetering on the edge & the lab & human assets required simply to keep her alive might be judged not worth it. Italy & increasingly other locations are finding patients need to be on vents for 2+ weeks.

But if they decided to try & keep her alive, they'd not be concerned about her missing meals. They can keep her electrolytes reasonably balanced through IV solutions, drain some of the extra fluid off her with diuretics & she'd not be gobbling quantities of salt. Her metabolism, (parts of it), would be in overdrive struggling to shift precious oxygen around & the pounds would melt off.

I still don't think she'd make a triage cut - she'd need to be turned at a minimum every 12 hours... no manpower for that. She's a huge infection risk at the best of times.

I wonder if she would be allowed to have her cellphone and record videos if she were committed with the virus. There would come a point she'd be too unwell, too.

She would not even be put on a ventilator due to her comorbidities and the major one is sleep apnea. For a ventilator you need to be laid down preferably unconscious for the body to recover as the machine does the breathing whilst it heals also you have to be laid down in supine position because blood flow is easier so it can stay oxygenated.

They could put her on one but she would die pretty quick.

I know someone who caught Covid: he's a healthy man in his early 50s, who has never had any troubles breathing, never smoked, is not overweight, goes to the gym regularly, does not have to sleep sitting up, does not gorge himself on 6000 calories a day. He was diagnosed roughly a week ago and was immediately sent home because hospitals have much worse cases to take care of. At first, he was barely able to breathe, and now he cannot sit up nor eat nor shower on his own. He's healing, the antibiotics they gave him are strong to the point of making his stomach hurt, but he's going to be fine.

This to say: there is no way in hell Amber would be able to come up from it. It's a terrible process for the body to go through, and if a man that was perfectly healthy has been having problems even with easy day-to-day tasks and breathing, we should have no hopes for our dainty queen, who can barely breathe after two minutes of walking.
