Have to give this show some credit, as it captures the racism of the left (less thAn 2 minutes in it and the protagonist is pissing their pants about stupid theme parties) and complains about how there are too many white people (aka nu- niggers).

So it's Netflix's very own Ghostbusters re-make basically. I made it 10 minutes through and had to stop. One of the most racist things I've ever seen.

I wouldn't go that far as to call it a masterpiece, it's just a pretty solid show that's way more insightful than people and the ads are making it out to be.

Though I gotta admit, people getting salty and rumprustled over this instead of just ignoring it and going about their day makes me laugh.

IIRC, the creator and director of the movie it's based off ofcalled it that so he could get people's attention. TBH, between this, Trophy Wife and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (all pretty decent shows, and don't judge Rachel Bloom from that shittastic Bill Nye clip), never go the "ironic title" route with a show.

If it's trying to get the attention and try to change the mind of tumblr people who would watch a show named that then I guess he did a good job, but he definitely shot himself in the foot to a mainstream audience in the process.

Even if it has really good writing and a good story, I don't care at this point, there are enough shows and stuff I want to watch that I don't need to waste my time watching good writing about racial relations at a college, I already get enough stories about race from stuff like Orange is the New Black.

What's the idea of the show? Like, in your own words. I don't want to read some corporate synopsis. Is it genuinely pretty solid? Tumblr leaning? Moderate? I don't want to waste my time watching something that will just make me pissed off, especially since I've seen people on my FB friends list praising it. As stated before, the title alone makes me want to stay as far away from it as possible. :/

I never seen the movie or the show but I thought the movie also criticized SJWs because the main chick was a SJW herself and was overly antagonistic to white people despite her father and fuckbuddy being white themselves. I can't properly judge, because I never seen it but at least it seemed more than just 90 minutes/a whole season of "fuck whitey." I could be wrong though.
