As OP mentioned the GOP has pretty much full swing now a lot of power to do a lot, now if this comes out well or even semi half assed with the DNC in ruins, it'll bring a ton of voters over regardless of race. This is also a worrying thing because if things get done and GOP goes 8 locked ... we may get more and more and the DNC is already dying a quick death. Leading us to a very worrying place.

In a situation where MAGA happens, I think the GOP will still have some rather bitter infighting, and depending if the DNC is still around you may see a split from the "neo con" "bible belt" "alt right" "TC' movements making well two right leaning parties, throwing and far left ideals to fringe groups.

The biggest thing is going to be how Trump does and if the MSM keeps hitting him because we've seen presidents been congratulated by things out of their power as well as shamed. IE: Obama made gas cheap.

That may be a general trend, but in this election, Clinton lost demographics that Obama won easily. In fact, I can't think of a demographic that Obama won in 2012 that Hillary didn't lose voters in. Those voters went to Trump. This even includes Hispanics!

Ever since 2008, Democrats were proclaiming the inevitability of increasing minority-demographics guaranteeing victory until the end of times. However, it turns out that a lot of the census data is misleading or totally misinterpreted. For instance, with exception of Cuban-Americans, Democrats assumed that they would always take the lion's share of the ever growing Latino vote, since Democrats generally pursue policy favorable to immigrants. But it turns out that a lot of those non-first generation Americans who say they are Latino on census forms actually are mixed and assimilated to varying degrees in the White Anglo culture, and their political views and economic concerns more closely match those of working class whites rather than recent Latino immigrants. Part of the reason why Latino ethnic group is growing so fast is that they are mixing so much with the White Anglo, and the census data distorts that growth due to the loose "one drop" style standard for defining non-white affiliation.

Similarly, many ethnic groups that traditionally considered guaranteed Democratic are now splitting on class-based lines between Republican and Democratic. Maybe the less financially stable recent immigrants lean Democratic, but the established and more financially stable individuals of the same group go Republican. It is harder for census data to capture these kinds of nuances and polling doesn't seem to do a good job of revealing them either.

It's actually an extremely dangerous situation for the Democrats. Trump has made the economy his #1 focus and he won a very high percentage of the Hispanic vote for a Republican. If Hispanics as a demographic make big economic gains during the Trump administration the Democrats might lose them as a voting block.
