Just came back from the movie. I went in with low expectations and that's what I pretty much received. I was highly disappointed with this movie reboot compared to the old ones. The action, violence, and gore were very minimal and lack luster except for one of the scenes. This movie isn't really worth getting worked up about, I do not know why it has been controversial lately. It's not a particularly strong take on anything besides killing a few criminals and getting the revenge you rightfully deserve and you've seen movies like it before.
I'm going to rate it a 5.5/10. The local cinema I go to has 5 dollar matinees so it was a good couple hour time waster for me to get me out of the house.
