Brianna claims she has all her signatures and will totally be on the ballot this November. We know this isn’t happening unless she paid thousands for it to happen, but just in case:What questions should residents of District 8 ask dueling debates? What kinds of things should Lynch say if forced to be in a room with Brianna?

My initial thoughts are:

Lynch has been in Congress for 18 years, and he's always cruised to reelection. There's no reason for him to have a formal debate - especially in a primary against someone that will get 10% of the vote in the best of circumstances.

There are still candidate forums that every party club and activist group try to arrange. These are generally cattle calls where candidates up and down the ballot show up and have a few minutes to speak. Lynch will have a surrogate for these.

If there is a high-profile group throwing one of these events, he'll appear personally if it works with his schedule. He'll speak for a few minutes along with the other few candidates. If he speaks first, his rhetoric will be along the lines of, "You know me. I'm from your community. Anecdote about where I have coffee or something. I'm proud of [example] I've done for the district. Something about how I'm standing up to Trump. I've been fighting for progressive values for years. Stick with me. Etc." If another candidate speaks before lynch, he'll address their complaint in passing but stick to the general script. He likely won't ever mention any other candidate's name.

But if there is a true debate, I think the best question would be one that points out Wu's complete absence of community involvement and public service. I think that the job and background questions just offer an opportunity for Wu to trot out some talking points and filibuster. Either that or pull out a tweet that makes Wu seem completely bonkers or out of touch with the community.

We know how badly he behaves when he has to give someone else a moment to talk, and the tantrums he throws when he has to answer an actual question, not some softballed shit from a friendly "journalist".
I'm as hell I know but can you imagine how badly he'd be destroyed in an actual debate. He'd make himself look even more of an ass than he already does. In truth though, nobody thinks Wu is a serious candidate. Even if the paid-for signatures work and he does get onto the ballot, he's not going to get invited to a serious debate and he'll never be within 100 miles of Stephen Lynch.
