We've all heard it, no one is a failure, blah blah blah, but as Kiwis we know that's a line of shit. So what is the best definition of failing at life? Is it the lolcows? Is there ever a point where a defined failure in life should neck himself? What is it? When is it?

I think it's the company you keep. If you have no one in your life, or all the people in your life are batshit crazy and ready to throw you under the bus at a moment's notice, you've failed. You can be a penniless couch-hopping bum, but if you have some solid friends who hold some kind of honor system, then you're a hell of a lot more of a winner than anyone on twitter who has a cushy sheltered suburban life.

I live with a personal lolcow, and I can tell you that it involves taking the path he has.

He is a babyman who can't save up money worth shit and has not taken the path to be a man; ie getting the fuck out there or cultivating responsibility. He also is a self pitying miserable zealot who leeches and clings to religion in the worst way. Along with these things and crippling realization that you make or fuck up your own life, he has no friends due to him being mentally unstable and picks fights every now and then with me because he has no drive to see what's out there and believes life is supposed to be all about "being right and having God hand things to you".

I think that is definition of a failure.

To me, a Failure in life is someone who refuses to make something of themselves and blames everyone else for their shortcomings, someone who refuses to take responsibility for their own Destiny but expects others to essentially handhold them through life and do all the heavy lifting for them.

As a teen we got to visit Washington DC on a school trip and watch cops break up a homeless camp (not the point of the trip just a happy extra). one dude was run off from all his earthly goods wearing only a ripped trash bag. I remember thinking that as long as I never had to wear a trash bag as clothing I would at least have beaten that one dude at life.
Now I don't define success by the acquisition of material possessions but perhaps failure might be defined readily by the lack of ability to acquire and keep material goods? That might not be a good definition for spiritual purposes but I like it as a working definition of failure on planet Earth.

Society has certain expectations of you. If you fail to meet those expectations, you're a failure, which is why some tards are trying to change societal expectations.
For example: by the age of 37, society expects that you should be at least living on your own, be financially independent, and not believing in magical hedgehogs that will somehow fix all your problems. Failing to meet that criteria means you are a failure, however much you deny it.

Failure is a mindset. If you’re living the life you want to live, and it makes you feel fulfilled as a person, you’re good. Your quality of life can’t be accurately evaluated by other people because most people are fucking idiots. That’s not to say you can’t fail at specific endeavors, like if your foreplay game is shit or you’re a serial killer who got caught, but I’ve only enjoyed success in those particular areas so i can only speculate how it feels to fail.
