On the surface, it seems easy to question the actions of an individual subject, such as Christian Weston Chandler, and follow his intriguingly Hitchcock-ian personal drama. Demographics are more difficult to personify, and generalizations make it easy to distance oneself from the subjects via labeling theory. But at the same time, the latter category seems to lack some qualities of the former.
With an individual, all of the extremes that shock and draw viewers in are confined to one easy source, simply because those aspects are what make the subject a lolcow in the first place. With any demographic, even an inherently deviant one, it's intrinsically natural that you'll run a whole gamut of extremes, with an inevitable caste of moderates in the middle. Individual lolcows just seem hopelessly bound to predictable behaviors.
Nothing seems unique to what makes a demographic a "lolcow". While it's easier to pick out diversity in demographics given their larger population than a single individual, an individual's life may have far less range. On the other hand, these extremes tend to be the same between demographics, and they usually appear to be the typical radical fetishes and volatile overstatements of their chosen identities. But these fetishes seem to be the same old thing in every single group. You've got the incontinent diaper Sonic fans, you've got the incontinent diaper MLP fans, and you've probably got the incontinent diaper Twilight fans for all I dread to know. They seem more like parasitic pilot fish attaching themselves to anything remotely outstanding from the mainstream in hopes of being accepted for any scraps they can dredge from the shark's backside.
