For this exercise, we're not living in "should land." We must understand that most people (including all of us) are easily manipulated by propaganda that we are predisposed to taking in. It's much easier to entrench oneself further in their ideology than it is to convert to another. One must as well understand that popular uprisings are a thing as well as foreign interference. It's also important to appreciate the risks of unilateral government control by those who place their personal motives above the needs of the people.
The society you might most like to live in is not necessarily stable given the existence of the aforementioned factors. So what is the ideal form of government?

i´m pretty happy as is. democracy isn´t perfect, far from it, but it leaves the opportunity to get rid off the assholes in charge, even though that plans fails continuously.

and besides, it´s much more fun than the alternatives. most of them will ban humor and satire as their first step

A randocracy: The state choose it's workers randomly in a pre-existing pool. Same for political elections. And there's a system to purge someone when he is garbage and keep it when he is good

1) term limits and/or age limits across the board (including the courts);

2) most domestic issues constitutionally shall be restricted to being handled at the local/regional level unless specifically mandated by an amendment to the constitution;

3) the constitution must be interpreted as intended (no it magically changes with the times BS);

4) certain limits placed on the national (and perhaps local/regional too) government's taxing. spending, borrowing, and inflationary powers;

5) All bills are to read aloud to members of the legislature prior to its passage with such members present for the reading (the point of this is to punish legislators for stuffing bills with crap that shouldn't be in the bill and also so that they can't claim they didn't know what was in the bill); and

6) NO PAY RAISES FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS

But times DO change. I fully understand that the "living document" argument can be used to justify retarded bullshit. But do you not believe that changing times call for a change in measures?
What do you think of constitutional amendments?

100% for them. Hek, I'd be for an automatic constitutional convention say every 10 to 20 years even if no one has an amendment in mind.
I don't fully disagree, but I think any time a constitutional convention comes to pass, no matter the time frame between them, the cathedral will work in full force to alter it in their benefit.
The whole point of a constitution is that it should be relatively solid: only changing when absolutely necessary. To call for a constitutional convention is no small matter, nor should it be. IMO it should not be a "living document," but set in stone. It should take great effort to make any modification. And those modifications should be the result of tempered reason in the face of changing times. But as I said, this is not "should land..." I can't be sure if you're right or wrong. But I'm a retard so I'm pretty sure I'm wrong at least.

my ideal form of government doesn't have a bunch of pedophile bankers with delusions of grandeur trying to control the population like a herd of sheep.

As hands-off as possible. Federal government fairly weak, only there to mediate between regional governments, provide for the common defense of the nation, handle limited regulatory and diplomatic functions that cannot be effectively addressed via local authorities.

I always like Heinlein's tripartite legislature idea, take the current US Congress, now add that any law has to be passed by the House and Senate with a 2/3rds majority.
And then, add a third body that only exists to repeal laws. With a simple majority vote.

monarchy, and not like a super specific version, just anything that isn't constitutional. Absolute monarchy, elective monarchy, feudal monarchy, autocratic monarchy, federal monarchy, enlightened absolutism, just anything that isn't democracy for God's sake!

Limited franchise based on voluntary and arduous service, such that no one could either vote or hold office without demonstrating their firm commitment to the system and willingness to endure extended suffering for a place in it. That solves the biggest problem of voters with no skin in the game. Within that system I highly favor direct democracy, at least as regards domestic policy.
