I tried some bags that you sometimes get as a daily reward, it claims to have a 2SB or 10-1000 shards, and you need 2000 to recruit her.
No matter what, you always seem to get the lowest amount, here as a test I got 30 shards for 3 bags. By the time the month ends, a new superstar will replace her so a F2P account will never have enough chances to get them. Much like other items in Champions, they just work as an incentive for people to spend money.

dont forget also... its just 1.3% to get a featured... doesnt count individual odds per card either! so those shards in the 1.3% may have a 1.2% chance of hitting, meaning ALL OTHER CARDS are ,1%

I actually want to thank these gotcha games for their low pull rates.

I'll be the first to admit that I am a consumer whale. There are some instances were I would rather just spend $20 than grind for 10 hours ($2/hour). Yes, I fully understand how microtransactions are hurting the game industry, but for a filthy casual like me that just wants to kill time on a week night when nothing is going on, I don't mind spending a little extra money. Like I said a few months ago, I don't regret spending money on Ultimate Teams because that was the money that I used to spend at bars, restaurants, and movies and all of those things were closed.

I know that with low pull rates, they hook the whales to spend even more money. For me, I stopped spending money because (1) everything started reopening, and (2) I was tired of spending money and getting dirt nothing in return. Not Champions, but I'll use this as an example, if the "Featured" rate was at 10% and the "Mega Rare" rate was at 20%, I probably would still be a whale; I'm not ashamed to admit it. But when I watch people on Twitch spend $500 on 25 Ultimate packs (the best pack in the game), and get almost literally nothing, then that helps me realize just how bullshit this all is.

Me too, I've had multiple family members ruin their lives due to scratch offs. Hence why I avoid them like the plague, don't even gift that shit to me.

We joke about Phil someday being forced to get a real job... but, what I think will really kill him is that he's not just going to stop spending on shitty gacha games when reality finally hits.

You are right, too much stress on a horse can cause real, lasting trauma. They need stabilty and routine to stay health.

Yeah if you look at the doxxes sweet deranged Nigel proves most are simple looking folks. They aren't flying in private jets or snorting cocaine off of expensive prostitutes while doing pulls.
One guy that stood out for me in particular was the cop from a couple guilds ago. A fucking cop was gambling on multiple websites, was recognized as a VIP and had wins in the tens of thousands. Now think how much you need to spend to see wins that big, and then how much the average bumfuck nowhere cop makes a year.
He's fighting against people poorer than him, but since he lacks credit now he can't dab on them as hard as his spending is hard capped by the daily tips.
