Did you ever think Chris was the real troll all along? -

Years back, there was a discussion on poetv.com about whether Chris Chan was legitimately who he claimed to be on the internet. Someone asserted that Chris Chan could secretly be a comedy character, and that we all may end up looking like fools when Chris reveals he's not actually an autistic on a sweetheart quest. There were plenty of actual suspicions that led to multiple individuals arriving at this. Sonichu seemed a little over the top, like it was supposed to grab your attention. The medallion was so ridiculous that it seemed like it was an intentional joke. Chris references intelligent comedy like Monty Python and even successfully Rickrolled his unwitting audience. I think it might have been that some people preferred to deny that Chris was a real person, so they decided he might be a modern day Andy Kaufman. It's like they thought, "Maybe Chris is the invention of bored college students and they made the videos for laughs and internet fame." The Magic potion video and Rollin' and Trollin' definitely furthered suspicions of this sort. Some of Chris's really outlandish stunts like semen Fanta guzzling and dick popsicle raised eyebrows about whether or not Chris was a comedy "bit" or a human being.

So I wanted to ask the rest of you here, at any point in your own observations of Chris, did you ever suspect that he might be a troll pulling the strings of his massive audience? Do you still suspect that he is orchestrating all of the sagas for our amusement? Was there ever a moment where Chris caught you so off guard that you weren't sure if he was messing with you on purpose? I'll even admit it myself: The Rollin' and Trollin' video had me about halfway convinced that Chris Chan was actually the next Will Ferrell.

If Chris is in fact a troll, he is perhaps the greatest avant garde artist in the history of mankind. If he came out and said he was actually a character he's been doing for years, I would tip my hat off to him.

But Occam's Razor would suggest he's just an autistic manchild.

I might have had my doubts when I initially read about him. Something along the lines of "this person can't be real". But I was young back then, and the internet had not yet scarred my soul.

Some people still think that Chris is the ultimate troll and that one day he'll reveal himself as such. I guess that makes him for some a lolcow Andy Kaufman?

All they need to watch is "Super Sonic Winner" and suddenly, all is revealed.

One easy way to tell Chris isn't a troll is that he no longer posts Sonichu or makes Youtube videos. Another reason I know is I've met Anna McLerran in person and discussed OPL with her, and it was in a place where the last thing someone would do is perpetuate an elaborate troll like this.

I would have agreed with that if he'd revealed himself maybe 2 years ago. At this point he'd be beating a dead-horse to the point of seriously devaluing his "performance"

I remember when he did the Rollin and Trollin video, I didn't think he was a troll either but I thought that then he had changed, that he had learned from his mistakes and decided to take this experiences to better himself. I was glad thinking that he was leaving youtube and his infamy behind with a relatively nice ending.

But then he kept making stupid videos, and the Liquid saga was born
