The juice cleanse/detox cult is easily as autistic as any other food cult. These jackasses swear that drinking some specific combination of juices and not eating anything for a week will "cleanse your digestive tract of toxins" or something. What they don't know is that unless you have some kind of crippling alcohol addiction or your liver and kidneys are diseased, there is no buildup of toxins that needs removing.
These food cults are interesting though because almost all of them are based on some sound principle, but crayon-eaters take things to an insane extreme. I blame the American education system.
