There was a clear sports/electrolyte beverage I bought all the time from 1092-92, especially from the grocery store I worked in, but I can't remember the name of it! It was a squareish bottle. Damn, what was it?

They were like M&Ms, but better. They had this thick candy shell and the jingle got stuck in your head.
They were also slightly more addictive than black tar heroin.
Sadly, Hershey discontinued them when they moved away from cocoa butter to cheaper alternatives, making these taste like shit.
My favorite candy died because a chocolate company was too cheap to buy chocolate anymore.
Fuck you, Hershey.
I was wondering what happened to those. And is it me or did they look like the pieces to that board game Sorry?

Holiday Spice Pepsi (Pepsi Fire just isn't the same)
Mountain Dew Supernova
Jolt or even just cola-flavored energy drinks in general (you never see those anymore)
First, Second, and Third Degree Doritos
Flatbread chicken sandwich from Taco Bell

I feel like there should be a ton more but I just can't think of them at the moment.

Reminded myself of Taco Bell's "Border Lights" menu items just now, especially the chicken burritos.

Somehow I thought the chicken burritos didn't have rice in them but I guess I was wrong (or perhaps it was only on the "Supreme" version).

Fry's Five Centres. A hollowed out chocolate bar with a lucky dip of strawberry, orange, raspberry, lemon, or pineapple filling. Discontinued 1992.

The markedly inferior Chocolate Cream, Orange Cream, and Peppermint Cream are still going though.

Rest in power Five Centres.
Too bad I don't think we had anything close to this here in the states. British confectionary giants like Rowntree or Cadbury barely made ground here unless through licensing brands to domestic outfits like Hershey's or try entering the US via a subsidiary. Cadbury did that when they bought out Peter Paul Candy Co. in the late 70's but ended up selling it to Hershey's anyway (and the right to manufacture their "Dairy Milk" line and distribute the Creme Eggs as wel).

Aw mate, Holiday Spice was my jam for the two-or-so years it was sold here in Hungary. Pepsi Blue was neat too.

I really liked these little candies called Oompas and they were super sweet and very fruity tasting and had the consistency of something like in between skittles and taffy. The outside was a soft sugar shell (more like a jelly bean or gumball shell than something like an M&M or skittle) but the inside was chewy kind of like taffy. The flavor was both more intense and more mellow than skittles. It's hard to describe--skittles have kind of an artificial chemical taste, but also a tart citric acid one, these tasted more like what you think of as "fruit flavor"--they tasted more strongly of fruit but that flavor was more smooth, sweet and clean, kind of like those fruit gummy pouches. They were pure sugar though. I kind of had bad taste.

I do remember these though! My favorite part was the thick candy shell, I never got them more than once or twice though.
