I wouldn’t trust Disney not to fuck it up. Plus, it would be lacking Vincent Price. If we're talking about Disney villains who I would actually *like* to see prequel movie for... (and to be perfectly clear, I would *not* want him to be portrayed sympathetically in it, as he is and always has been unrepentantly evil. More evil even than Cruella should have even been from the start believe it or not.- He canonically murdered widows and orphans before we ever first saw him, and he even sang a song about it how much he enjoyed doing it.)
I am of course speaking of Professor Rattigan from The Great Mouse Detective.

It isn't like any of the other live action remakes are using the original actors. Plus, I wouldn't even be mad if they made him gay or something, because I'm already pretty sure Ratigan was gay.I wouldn’t trust Disney not to fuck it up. Plus, it would be lacking Vincent Price.
Also, it's not like Disney didn't have their own non animated movies: 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, Treasure Island, The Parent Trap, and others.Disney live-action remakes are inherently pointless. Part of classic Disney's appeal is their unique art style and how they move. If I didn't know Disney made these modern movies, I wouldn't think they were made by them in the first place.

Disney is trying to probably get a tiny foot in the manga industry given how it dominates the American comic industry. Otherwise based on that picture, only positive is that at least the art will look good.
Oh thank god.

I'm convinced the remake culture is being done in conjunction with digital only media to create a cultural landscape where Disney can basically delete its old works from existence and replace them with politically advantageous modern reimagining with the added bonus of reselling its repackaged new shit because of nostalgia to unavailable past versions.Disney live-action remakes are inherently pointless. Haven't they already been in the manga industry over in Japan? The Japanese are among some of Disney's biggest consumers/simps around, and given that a Twilight manga adaptation exists, I'm not shocked by this.Disney is trying to probably get a tiny foot in the manga industry given how it dominates the American comic industry.
How do they make a prequel of a prequel?
No, the cover art will look good, they'll get an American to draw the inside and it will look amatuerish because comic professionals don't know how to manga.Disney is trying to probably get a tiny foot in the manga industry given how it dominates the American comic industry.
