ON the one hand; it feels like Disney is trying to copy Warner Bros and make their own version of 2019's joker...except they can't go as far as that film did because it's Disney and a spinoff of 101 dalmations at that. on the other even if they can't go full on R rated or as dark as joker did it may not be a good joker movie but this looks like the most promising harley quinn movie that'll ever be made.

to be fair, that's all she ever wanted. her main goal in life was "I want to wear fur" and the story only happens because she really likes the dalmatian look and the owners don't want to sell.
which works just fine as a villain for a kids novel/movie, because kids don't want to see cute puppies turned into clothing, but anything else is a hard stretch.

also thinking about it, does this make cruella a furry?

EDIT: finally watched the trailer, it's like harley quinn decided to cosplay as a character without ever watching the movie. not gonna lie the production values are there and with a better script it could be interesting, but knowing disney and [current year] the story will be dog shit and have fuck all to do with the original IP. feels like another alice in wonderland which was so bland and boring it's completely forgettable...
