I'm really bummed. I like X a lot, he was the most grimy gritty rapper, my white ass knew of. He's still on ALL of my gym mixes, he gets me so hype.
He had a lot of problems in life (cliffs crack) but he was one hood mother fucker. He had his ups and downs with drugs, and crime etc, but he was brutal on his last VS. He was talking about being clean and doing a tour etc now this.
Bums me out and I'm far from a rap fan DMX was just like my jam, I don't know another 90s rapper who was so commercial but at same time always talking about rape murder and literally opened a song talking about fucking a dead body.
Edit: I can't find proof aside twitter claims but said his family pulled plug and he's passed. If someone finds proof please throw in, I hope it's not true.

Wikipedia and Spade TV from FB said he passed away "according to close friends." Nothing official yet. Keep an eye out on national news sources.

Twitter seems to be sure he's dead. Though I'm seeing no official reports they've pretty much confirmed he was brain dead all week so it looks like they either pull the plug or keep him Schiavo'd.

I'd imagine his family or someone with knowledge alerted DMX's friends and it just trickled down from there. I'll wait for his family to announce his death when they're ready.
