Do people still like Vaporwave? -

Yes and no. On one hand slowed down 80s songs and samples have fallen out of style, being replaced by synthwave and similar sub genres with a clear vaporwave influence. On the other hand the visual part of vaporwave continues to stick around and has morphed with the times while drawing influences from other eras (mainly the 80s). Then again as events such as Radwood have shown there's a growing interest in that aesthetic outside of internet culture as well.

I do personally like vaporwave and futurefunk still, but some of the songs sampled especially the japanese ones sound better as they were originally made. In fact I would say the popular opinion is vaporwave and futurefunk has led to people to discovering Japanese City Pop and that's why Plastic Love exploded on youtube like it did.

I love the idea of vaporware but the community around it is autistic and they all sound like the same two or three songs
Probably because some of them try to copy people like SaintPepsi because people like his samples. The thing that I like and hate most about Vaporwave is the youtube channels that use the artists songs with a gif from an anime from the 80's/90's. Its great because I find new music and anime to watch. The issue is if they don't credit the artist or expect to get money for it and sell merch based on their supposed "brand" for example Artzie and Truelove music do the exact same type of thing only one uses 80's anime and the other uses current anime gifs. I don't understand why they would set up Patreons and the like when the content isn't even theirs. In Artzie's case some of the artists thank them for the exposure, but I don't think its deserving of money. If people want to pay for it so be it. Sorry for my autistic rambling.
Edit: I can't fucking type today sigh.

There' a lot of artists that do a pretty good job imo (Macross82-99, Yung Bae, Saint Pepsi Not sure if Vanilla is Vaporwave but i guess him as well)
This. Honestly OG vaporwave from like 2012 was very much a meme, though still pleasant to listen to. Synthwave, Futurefunk, chillwave, and the original city pop stuff actually hold up on their own and I'm really digging it. It's kinda funny cause when my dad was around my age he got really into smooth jazz. Anyway I'm gonna be seeing Yung Bae live in a couple weeks.
