In the This is my house video, we saw that the basement was full of crap, and the washer/dryer was surrounded by piles of clothes. That was years ago, though. I wonder, at this point, are they still dong laundry? Are they even ABLE to? They're pretty much confined to one room because of the hoard.

I doubt at this point Barb is washing anything, let alone :briefs: So does Chris just buy a new pack of undies from Mal-Wart every week? Do they just wear their clothes until they get so nasty they just stop wearing them?

i won't be surprised if they do that... trust me, i've know and heard of a lot of people who do that, hoarders that never do they laundry and instead, buy new clothes everyweek with their :tugboat: and the old clothes, they just ditch them or gave them as donations... pretty fucked up, but way more commont than it should be... |:(

Chris should just start wearing adult diapers if he's just going to throw out his :briefs: and buy new ones. He's basically using them as diapers in that case.

we're talking about people who just set newspapers down for their dogs. i'm going with no. a hard no if you also consider the lack of effort in maintaining their lawn.

If they do do (ha doodoo.. appropriate!) their laundry it's probably few and far between loads. Laundry soap is EXPENSIVE! and Axe doesn't make laundry soap as far as I know.

On the other hand, you guys might be right and their laundry room is completely broken down. Given the state of everything else there I'm sure that whatever they do it's not pretty.

:briefs: With all those clothes hoarded around the house?
They probably have a lifetime stock of clothes, they never need to clean again.
the question is, what happens to dirty laundry

I'm going to go with no. After all, Barb bought all those Goodwill clothes while "they were a bargain." Chris probably goes for a few days at a time without changing, then goes and picks out a new shirt from the hoard, provided it isn't covered in dog urine and mold.

Yeah, i bet that they only do their laundry like, once every two months or something, and i bet that they take the minimum effort in doing so, like, going to the cheapest place for that, using the cheapest soap or something like that...

Maybe they go to a Laundromat? But then they'd have to drive, carry the baskets, pay...

No. I don't think they do.

Crap in a bucket.

:briefs: in bottles.

Holy Crap! |:( |:( |:(
Well, chris is close to that, instead of crap in bottles, he only gets amazed by the dog's piss stains...

Given the decrepit state of their house, would it even be safe to run the washer or dryer? Leaks, insect damage (or pet damage) to wiring and just lack of maintenance would either render both machines inoperable or dangerous to run I would think.

Remember how yellowed Chris's once-white shirt was in his "9 toes across the threshold of death" Walmart selfie? That doesn't just happen when you're laundering regularly.

Realistically, I'd say they do laundry occasionally. They probably have favorite items of clothing they want to keep, and if the washer and dryer work, it's not that hard to dump clothes in them and push a button.
That said, they probably don't do it as often as other people would, and maybe skimp on detergent. And less favored clothing might be discarded and replaced with Goodwill clothes. Chris may not consider clothing to be "dirty" until he's worn it a few days or spilled something on it. And when the laundry does get done, there might be :briefs: in the machine with the other clothes.

The Google Street view photo of the old SON-CHU shows what looks like a laundry hamper in the back trunk area of the car. My guess is that they sometimes visit a laundromat, or the hoard just has spilled over into the cars.

I can't find the actual model, but Walmart , HomeDepot sell them like this:

They have those oval shape openings. Those are the openings you can spot in the trunk.

I don't know about Chris, but I wouldn't be surprised if Barb has just gone the full Jabba the Hutt by this point and stopped wearing clothes altogether.

If you were eating lunch when you read this post, you have my sincerest apologies for that mental picture.

Why do laundry? Douse your shirt in Axe instead. The commercial says ladies get all lubed up over any guy who wears Axe. For what reason would commercials not portray reality 100% truthfully and objectively?

No shit is too minor I guess? I think this is a bit of a ridiculous question if you know Chris well enough. CLOTHES ARE EXPENSIVE!!! Charb can't afford to just throw their clothes in the nondescript, monolithic garbage pile slowly enveloping 14BC.

What is far more likely, is that they are just throwing their clothes in the washer with barely any detergent, if any at all. I've known kids from elementary school who had parents who did this. They had the characteristic smell of sweat socks mixed vaguely with soap.

See, the entire thread is not necessary because the answer is here based on prior analysis of IRL and on-line sitings.

Chris smells foul. He wears the same shit days in a row as evidenced by some of the "selfies" he's been taking. We know Axe is his go-to spray if he smells himself. His clothes are worn, filthy, torn and old. Goodwill replacements (Wal-Mart is EXPENSIVE and BANNED) tend to be on the brink of failure as well.

Chris is HONEST and TRUE. Therefore, Axe.

In theory they can't afford to buy a house-devouring hoard one piece at a time either, but...
