I felt as such, which is hilarious to me now. I've noticed people get more tolerable around the age of 25, when the prefrontal cortex is typically done developing. Teenagers should have no rights.

It depends on life experience. An 18 year olds who goes has had job from age 16 are normally wiser / more mature than a 21 year old coddled university student who has never had a job.

Absolutely not. I remember being that age and I thought I was an adult with everything figured out, but even by the time I was 25 I realized how dumb and inexperienced I was.

Looking back from even later into my life it’s almost comical how inept and unmature I was at 18. The only good choices I made were schooling related.

When I see an 18 year old this is all I can think about. I don’t consider them adults in any meaningful sense.

I didn’t feel like an adult at 18, and people certainly don’t have a lot of life experience at that stage, but expecting people to be able to take basic care of themselves and be responsible for their own actions has to start sometime. I think we’re having the opposite problem in modern times, where we’re starting to let the caretaking and leniency of childhood go on for far too long.

Men aren’t fully adults till 25. When I was 18 I felt more capable and responsible, but I could also tell I wasn’t fully there yet. I was forced to sink or swim at 18 but it worked out for me. I can’t speak for everyone but that’s a good time in life to get your ass kicked and to be forced to grow up. Too many young people think they know everything and IMO there’s nothing better than getting absolutely crushed at the peak of your arrogance.
