I think I suck at explaining things, because I had meant to ask “do you follow designers from game to game?” But this has actually been pretty interesting to see as well, especially Safir’s point about Discord.

Not really. I don't really follow any devs since they don't really seem interesting. As for the case of game to game that depends on if the games are enjoyable.

I like following individual artists/writers/composers who might have worked on games I like or whose overall portfolio I enjoy. I don't remember if Josh Sawyer has Twitter but I did enjoy reading his Tumblr back in the day because he gave a lot of insight into the lore of his projects and some technical questions.

The only person in the video game industry I follow is Marty O'Donnell, best known for composing the (original) Halo music. Now that the series has gone down the shitter, he's not afraid to occasionally talk shit about the current state of the series and is pretty active on Twitter and Youtube.

For example, here's something that he tweeted fairly recently:

He's also a really fucking nice guy who talks to the older Halo fans about behind-the-scenes/easter egg stuff.
Wait until he gets to Reach. I get there's probably some legal reason for it, but removing the Bungie thank you at the end of Reach is insulting.
