No and each time I see reposted post or hear about things that happened there I am glad I dont have it.
And tbh If I had one it would be yeeted quickly because i refuse to self censor
I had one for a little while. I didn't use the platform when it started; like all sensible people, I reasoned that the combination of character limits and ease of censorship would turn the site into a dystopic cesspit (surprise surprise).
But several years back, I finally broke down and made one, so as to keep in touch with some friends who were fond of Twitter, as well as to follow several personal lolcows of mine. I didn't do much - got noticed by Varg, had some pleasant debates about Brutalism with an architecture major, and was even at one point offered money to infiltrate Kiwi Farms. Eventually I got blocked out of the blue by a linguistics professor because he didn't like the political views of one of my citations, and then a Science Youtuber I respect immensely started getting mad at me for politely pointing out (what I thought were) understandable yet obvious flaws in his epistemology and pedagogical metholodogy. Sort of soured me on the whole platform, and I realized that - YES, it's a cliche, but it's true! - Twitter was a toxic platform that was making me miserable.
Worst three weeks I ever spent on the internet. If you're not on Twitter, and ever start wondering if maybe you should finally check it out and see what the big deal is - don't. It's like the trashiest 90s network TV, only everyone speaks/thinks in emojis and hashtags instead of complete sentences.
