Maybe in high school if some nerdy girl glanced at him and thought, hmm he's cute in a nerdy way. But that would change once she talked to him.

I know people, men and women, who like fatter guys, and if they just saw a picture of early Chris with no context they might find him quite cute (especially a picture with a less pronounced Creepy Stare)
His personality would destroy that feeling.
