There is an app called Vent where people, mostly lolcows as you would guess, post stuff that they wouldn't post anywhere else. I found out about it from the person who I talked about in thesethreads. Apparently her username on Vent is rocketlauncher.
For the exceptional individual who's too shy to whine about their problems with someone they know, but too speshul to suck it up and deal with them the way a normal person would.
It might be a decent place to lurk to find some dirty secrets, but most cows already reveal their extremely personal info on other social networks anyway. You'll probably have to wade through hours of sexually confused teenage rambling before finding anything.
[EDIT]
Downloaded the app and looked through it a bit. It's mostly just typical attention whoring, the likes of which you would find any day on Tumblr.
TELL ME WHY I'M STUCK AS A VIRGIN WITH RAGE
TELL ME WHY I SO NEED A CUTE GIRL MY AGE
Oh hey, I remember Kayla in the Tumblr sub used to use that 'cuz she thought we couldn't find it. It's one of those sites that aren't a bad place to check when researching a cow, but other than that, it's pretty par for the course whining.
Vent is overrun by kin. You can't go through the Latest Vents without happening upon a kin.
Also, it's not wise to go through the Latest Vents or else you might get bitched out for pressing a button you shouldn't have. It's common practice on Vent to restrict who is allowed to press the interaction buttons, particularly the "SAME" button that appears on all vents and the "YNA"/"H4U" (You're not alone & Here for you) buttons on Sad vents. The penalty for such a transgression can be as harsh as a block. People will frequently tag others in posts asking them to unpress the buttons.
How are you supposed to know any of this? Most accounts are accompanied by a side-account that functions as a bio, since the profile bio is limited to some few thousand characters. In these bio accounts, people list things like their kin, their ~canon calls~ (kin that they're looking for) and what buttons you're not allowed to press. Of course in addition to things like who they are, their social media links, and often their "privileges and disprivileges".
However, Vent may not be the best place to go lolcow hunting. Many many Vent users are under 18 (particularly 16 and under), and it's very easy to hide your profile, change your name, remake your account, or even delete everything. (I've seen several Vent users who routinely wipe their profiles)
At the same time, because everyone happily plasters their other social media on this otherwise anonymous site, it could be worth something if you ever find someone particularly intertesting. Because people use alt account posts for their profiles, it's relatively easy to search for a tumblr link. Though the app's search system is a little broken, with common terms like "kin" suspiciously not showing up and hashtags being outright removed for "abusive" use. That abusive use being that people made a "#ShitPopularVentersSay" hashtag. Site-wide drama occurs hilariously easily, even without hashtags. All it took was some no-name to make a couple of short "I love rape!" Vents with smiling emojis for the entire userbase to lose their collective shit and go ape on staff to ban the guy.
