one thing i thought of with the new video was how nervous he was, which could be any of the following factors.
1. his mother was filming it, and he was wary of saying something out of line in front of her as she is framiliar with his videos of the past, and may or may not have banned him from making videos
2. he was in mcdonalds, trying not to be kicked out. to me it is entirely possible his mother may actually have been there are part of some agreement with the owners as a condition of him being able to be there.
Another thing about chris and videomaking was that in the past he was more and more coherant. When the videomaking starts to slow down, he becomes less so, till eventually speaking becomes even weirder, ie the jackie videos. We can see that a well socialized chris in His after high school message is very coherant, and hes almost a normal guy in it. The "golden age" chris videos hes almost always coherant, although absolutely mad.
It seems to me, that even though the videos are damning to his reputation and things that ought to never see the light of day, that there is in some way a way in which chris helps himself through them.
In the videos chris often apologizes, acknowledges wrongs, if only to appear as someone not maniacally egotistical and deeply insensitive. In this act he goes through all the motions of the apology and even though the apology is then contradicted in some way shape or form, even in the form of comic book effigies murdered in cold blood, chris acknowledges in some way that an apology is called for when a person commits a wrongful act on someone else, and that he may have actually hurt someones feelings.
In the video chris engages with someone, albeit an imaginary someone through the videos. He has to make eye contact with the camera, talk to it as if it was an audience, interact with a potential someone. Here is where i think it could be a beneficial avenue for him, or heres where i think it was a beneficial avenue for him. Chris could essentially interact with an audience and get it wrong as many times as he liked and then improve on his method. He could essentially fuck up many many times and not worry about the consequences of it as the videos are often made for an audience that aren't his in real life friends or family. I think his interactions with people at that bar.
And finally, videos like the current one, which are creepy and weird for a multitude of reasons, also can register as a bit more vanilla than videos of him screaming and throwing fits. That maybe the key to his over-documented life is to document more aspects of it, so that he appears as something more dimensional than what he currently appears as.
just some thoughts.
