That's the thing when you bank all in on fighting games. They're not marketable as a skillset and your skill within them is fleeting. Once you're out, you're gone, and it only gets worse unless you treated it as it should as have been: a hobby.
A bit off topic but I'm definitely expecting another fighting game decline. Trying to obtain an audience that never plays them only for their most loyal to turn the blind eye has been a very unsettling common trend to the point people are seeing Guilty Gear Strive to be the "Street Fighter V" of the series due to how bad the response to feedback has been.

That's the unlucky part. You'll find very nice and calm people worshiping these people who act 'quirky' and 'Sasuke-like'. You know, Jasonafex grooming a completely normal furry artist into his personal coomertoy. This is very rampant in the fandom, in which few people with talent have a way to monetize it outside drawing knotted dicks.
