Now what do we know of Jones's policies? Basically there is very little info on that in this thread. Or was it just "I won't touch little girls?" and we have no idea what he will do, and what sort of personality he has?

Smug is smug. /pol/ went from spamming Moore victory memes across various boards to crying in their hugbox. That shit is hilarious, and if you aren't biased by political leanings you would probably find some amusement in the idea of Alabama suppressing white votes.

I think it was pretty obvious he wasn't going all-in on that pedophile when he just did a robocall and didn't even show up.

He went all in on Luther Strange and lost.

As for Moore: Trump did a rally in Pensacola (20 miles from Alabama), he publicly endorsed Moore after the WaPo stories, called Moore to offer support from Airforce One and forced the RNC to pour money back into his campaign after they had stopped - and the robocall which is significant only because it’s audio that will be played on the news and heard online. It’s as damn close to all-in as you can get to a pedo nutball “gays are evil and I got Jew lawyer” train wreck these last two weeks.

The only thing he didn’t do was go down for a rally the day before the election. But since Moore was only making sporadic public appearances in front of carefully chosen audiences the past month something like that was very unlikely anyway. Moore left the state the weekend before the election to go to a football game ffs.

I don’t think Trump likes Moore. He was still pissed Strange lost the primary election. But Trump is desperate for allies in the Senate. Even with a republican majority he’s been fucked because he’s so polarizing and is deeply despised by quite a few republican senators. He thought by coming out swinging for Moore he would at least get some loyalty out of him in the senate. Now that’s totally fucked. Don’t forget if this train wreck administration heads towards impeachment it’s the senate votes that matter, picking a senator is like picking a jury member in that respect.

I think those are the only two reasons Trump decided to hold his nose and support Moore, it’s also why I think he will get on the “recount/absentee ballots need counted/ certification” train this week. Whoever wrote that “a win is a win” portion of his tweet is gonna get reamed out. But I’d be happy to be proven wrong and Trump stays out of the mess and doesn’t back away from his admission Jones was the winner.

I don't know much of Alabama and have no reference in mind for it. In fact I don't know much about voter suppression in the first place, except that african americans seem to dislike, or at least SJW soyboys claim that they do so*, having an ID on them to vote, which just seems silly to me. Everybody should have an ID all the time if they step out of home. I don't see any biggie on this. The US fear of IDs strikes me as another irrational fear like their fear of the number 13, or the oriental fear of the number 4, or those silly beliefs in star signs and new age un-science.

* I have seen a lot of blacks quite upset that whites consider them all criminals or idiots who can't carry an ID card and are quite infuriated with its patronising message.
Since most blacks I assume are legal US citizens and are eligible for voting, I kind of agree with their reaction, and the cynic in me thinks that the democrats just want to avoid ID laws to keep their mexican immigrant voter base and are just using the blacks as an excuse to virtue signal and keep their illegal non black voters.

From my experience with the alt-right, I think it is totally not satire. I think the american right is just so beaten that they consider even getting a president as a sign of divine favour. Those that are not serious are most likely just doing it for the "cool" factor.
