[Gar For Archer]

Many of you are probably aware of him already, figured I might as well make a thread for his content as one doesn't seem to exist currently. Fredrik Knudsen makes very well-researched Youtube documentaries on interesting people and subcultures with lots of primary evidence. Given the topics of his videos, there's obviously a lot of intersecting interests with the Farms, which he has referenced a couple times in his videos. I wouldn't be too surprised if he lurks the Farms, given his obvious interest in internet oddities. His documentaries on lolcows usually get posted in their threads here and are overwhelmingly well-received.

If you only know him through his lolcow videos, his other documentaries are also well worth a watch, introducing me to a ton of interesting personalities I haven't seen on the Farms. My favorites are probably Empress Teresa (about a delusional author and his book), Neopets (about how this children's online game was literally taken over by scientologists... what the fuck?) and Mother Horse Eyes, a Reddit horror ARG.

They are good to put on in the background as you do house work. I wish he would stick to internet lore though, the ones delving into history, such as plague doctors, are interested but very dry. It also seems to break up his channel to much, if I put on a playlist of all videos it should have a coherent link.

Knudsen is very good at collecting and organizing info on a subject for the uninitiated watcher. I'm less impressed with his cow stuff and more interested in guys like Henry Darger. His life story is obviously tragic, but it was great to learn about his life and his work.

It was also really interesting to see that furries have been having a sexuality vs respectability conflict from day one.

I really like him. I like things where it’s just a story being told without much commentary. He clearly does his research, and he knows how to structure his telling of the whole story so it’s interesting and captivating.
Like, I love making fun of things and gossip, but sometimes just the straight facts is refreshing to hear.

I've always pegged Knudsen as 'passionate.' He loves Internet black box mysteries and culture. There's a sick curiosity oozing out of his narration and extensive research. And yes, he fucking definitely lurks the Farms. The Farms have a lot of information on irrelevant shit that most sites aren't autistic enough to archive for posterity, so this place quenches his thirst for Internet oddities.

I was actually watching his videos before coming on to the farms. His video on the rat utopia experiments is awesome. I don't know if I could binge watch him for too long though, because his voice rides that line between hypnotic and annoying depending on my mood. But so many kudos to him for following his interests wherever they takes him and turning his prodigious autism into good content.
