I rewatched his chris chan video recently and even though it's obviously an older one I still think it's good. It also made me realise just how much somethingawful has changed for the worse these days.

I would say that his Chris Chan video is a good way to introduce someone to Chris lore. It's not overly detailed, but it's enough to gauge if someone would want to know more. Seeing his videos, too, also makes me realize, even though I haven't heard of Something Awful until then, that the site clearly changed for the worse from seeing Lowtax's thread.

So what's the genre name for videos that Knudsen, Atrocity Guide, and some extent Count Dankula's mad lad produces? It's a documentary, but there has to be a word for the general subject matter they cover.

MEOW. MEOW. PURR!
That Purr Cafe Episode honestly made me very upset, just with how unprofessional the owner was, the Ill cat, and just all around the horribleness surrounding the Cafe.
Very happy it was shut down, and I am happy for him to cover it. Hopefully a would be cafe owner can use it as a guide on how NOT TO run a Cat Cafe.

I'm honestly curious to know what the next episode will be about.

It's going to be a long one, so it's probably a highly detailed episode and if it's almost entirely narration, then it's probably not a YouTuber or similar media personality. That does narrow it down a bit. So we're pretty sure it's not going to be Sam Hyde or Deagle Nation-related despite it being a topic that gets requested a lot.

I'm thinking it's going to be a sequel to his episode on the Final Fantasy House that has a more in-depth coverage of Jennifer Cornet and the Tattle Crime drama. He did mention way back in the day that he'd eventually do an episode specifically devoted to her. Given how long this one is gonna be, I'm thinking it will probably be about Otherkin in general and then dovetail right into Jennifer Cornet's exploits post-FF7 House

My guess is that it will be about something historical like the austrian wine video, or about some schizo if we take into consideration this clue Fred gave us

Out of left field pick, but what if it's about those LessWrong Rationalist autists (who have an inactive thread here, I believe)?

I remember one of the things they constantly brought up was the fear of an AI becoming more powerful than humans and torturing them eternally for being mean to computers or something. Apparently this was the worst possible fate and humans should be prepared to do anything to escape that fate. Honestly it sounds like they saw a euphoric atheist's critique of Christianity and started practicing that as a religion.

My bets on the Unabomber, he had a similar hatred towards industrialization, and even feared Machines replacing human beings in most areas. Though your guess is also just as good.

So, that probably rules out Jennifer Cornet/Tattle Crime or Otherkin as the theme of the next episode.

Given the time length and that it's almost entirely comprised of narration, I'm suspecting it's the Unabomber but he seems a little too widely known for something like Down The Rabbit Hole.

The only "mainstream" weird topics that got coverage on his show would be Plague Doctors, the two-part episode about anime, furries*, and arguably SCP Foundation and Neopets.

Everything else is either some kind of "internet lore" like the Final Fantasy House, Time Cube, Spoony, CWC**, and Terry A. Davis or they're more obscure or semi-obscure true stories like the Mouse Utopia Experiment, Henry Darger, the Collyer Brothers, or the episode about the Austrian wine poisonings.

*-Even then, his coverage of furries was unique in how in-depth it was and that it was completely neutral in its presentation.

**-The episode on Chris was made before he became a semi-mainstream C-List internet celeb and was entirely confined to the chans, ED, and KF. I'd say it's one of the things that made more Redditors and normie-adjacent internet users aware of Chris alongside the PewDiePie video and the Sachumo documentary

I can't imagine

Given his other hint about it requiring the assistance of his graphic artist to properly convey the more complicated aspects of the story, that actually seems like a pretty suitable pick. If it were any other YouTuber, I'd say Unabomber for sure, but as @Syaoran Li said, he hasn't really done a video on something that mainstream in quite a while.

I also found it unique in that it was historical and pretty much cut off at the birth of the modern furry subculture. Compared to today, where it gets blended with every other fetish under the sun, furries were downright prudes in the '90s. Definitely one of the more interesting takes on the subject.

I don't think he's against more well-known topics, but Knudsen definitely seems like he needs to have a unique take on a popular subject to justify a video.
