Couple of things:
1. Atrocity Guide has a new video about Bob's Game (who has a thread here), it's very much a proto Yanderedev, though slightly more capable of making games by himself

2. While the K fiasco was pretty bad. The German "operation viking" is far worse debacle.

His next video is supposedly 3+ hours long and involves working with a collaborator.

I have no specific source, it was on his Discord/Patreon or something else along those lines.

However, to ready this thread for disappointment, he’s also mentioned that he plans to do far less videos on Internet personalities, though he’s not counting them out entirely as he’s interested in potentially doing them on topics like Yandere Simulator and Channel Awesome.
3. I slightly prefer weird history to e-celebs since the latter are overdone by plenty of YouTube channels and usually follow the same trajectory.

Agreed... there’s enough other Youtubers I can watch for content on lolcows or lolcow-equivalents, definitely prefer Fred sticking with lesser-covered stuff. If he were to do something on CA, I honestly dunno what he could add that hasn’t already been covered in great detail by a great many other Youtubers due to the renewed interest in them post-fallout.

Oddly specific question here, but I recall in a video from Jabroni Mike and Fredrik Knudsen from a few months back Fred discussed a message he'd received from Diane Kelly where she went on a bizarre tirade about how his balls could feed an ant colony for a thousand years because they were so small - or something like that. Anyone know what video it was he discussed/read out the message in?

I can't find a transcription of it anywhere and it was pretty funny, but not sure if I'm willing to binge-watch a ton of Mike and Fred videos at the moment. I enjoy them, but they're long as fuck.

Fred's latest episode was excellent as always. The use of animations to demonstrate the K-Class's flaws and how the "battle" unfolded were a neat touch. Definitely worth the wait.

I wish he would use a narrator. Love the content but his vocal cadence and over inflection on ev er ry syl a byle gets grating and annoying real quick
Without Fred's narration, it wouldn't be Down The Rabbit Hole. Therefore it wouldn't be as good.

I wouldn't start from here.

I'll be honest, I kinda expected something that takes more effort than a reading of a century old maritime fuckup, after 7 months of downtime. Unless there's a double feature, that's pretty crazy schedule slip.

On the event itself. The more I hear about WW1, the more I realize that the only thing brits did well in the war was using propaganda to convince Americans that they were the good guys.
I kind of agree, I enjoyed it, but to be honest it's kind of on odd choice for a video from Knudsen. Though it does show significant research, and is probably now the single best single resource for what happened.

The thing is, what happened wasn't particularly unique for the early 20th century. eg the Honda Point disaster wrecked 7 destroyers in 1923.

The thing is other YouTubers kind of specialize in this sort of stuff, below is a short video from a YouTuber called QXIR detailing Operation Viking, which was even more of a fuck up. He plays it for laughs though.

I think my biggest issue with the episode itself is the accusatory tone. A lot of the actions taken prior to the event were ones that are either due to hindsight (Britain not investing in Subs), misplaced innovation (having a fleet of combined ship types), and it being a war where a faulty sub is still better than not having anything at all. This is discounting the likely fact that there were several levels of bureaucracy between each party that added to the miscommunication. Basically it's the problem of taking modern peacetime and lack of communication and applying it to the past.

Fredrik's released a statement on the current state on Down the Rabbit Hole. It's on his Patreon, but it's open to the public.

TL DR: The next video is on EVE Online, which will likely be 3 hours and may take longer to make than the May Island video. Also, the reason May Island took so long is because of his extreme work habits (if you've followed him long enough, you've heard him talk about this) so he's going to try and structure his workdays and spend some time on other projects.
