Dox Your Birds - show off your funny chickens

So lately @FierceBrosnan and I have been sharing funny stories about our funny rainbow chickens and I thought "we got a thread for cats, we got a thread for dogs? Why not for birdies?"

Here's my kiddo:

This is Jackie. He's a three year old pineapple conure. I bought him when he was seven months old at a petco when I was looking for leopard geckos, he was way too cute to pass up. His favorite foods are sunflower seeds, apples, and whatever is in my cereal bowl. He enjoys a good sip of orange juice. He's afraid of bananas and spaghetti noodles. He can say his and my name and tells himself "good job baby bird!". He enjoys toilet paper rolls on his head and some Bob Marley and Voltaire. He's a recovering plucker who's recovering very well.

The conure on my finger is Pinot ( like the wine) she fully believes she is a velociraptor. Enjoys junk food, SCREM, biting everything, drinking my coffee, and the art of interpretive dance. She can say "baby bird", "WHAT?!", her own name, chicken clucking sounds, and gibberish that sounds like actual words at times. She's also convinced the cockatiel is her baby though she has never laid an egg. Will swing on her ball toy Miley Cyrus style and will fight her bell toys at the crack of dawn. Loves making noises at the fatass mocking bird that lives in the neighborhood, he's smacked into the window by her cage several times as a result.

The territorial banana down there is Sunny. She is 90% marshmallow and 10% HISS. She will hiss at everything for any reason. Doesn't want to be petted? HISS. Want's to be petted? HISS. Wants a bath? HISS. Pinot trying to mother her? BIG HISS. The only thing she doesn't hiss at is green food. Loves lettuce in all it forms and bouncing around while make laser noises when happy.

They are both deathly afraid of raspberries. We call them scary berries now.

My Conure can say some words and phrases such as "What?", "Night night", "Wee birdy /Wee sadie birdy", "Want out" and "Fuck off".
Makes kissing noises when we do something or give her something she likes.

According to the vet, a virus he caught from some roosters we had when he was 1 year old. Some form of polio.

I've never heard of that happening, that's so odd. How has he managed along in that time? Is he always out with you?

It's been a rough ride but we have been giving him physical therapy, luckily it didn't go beyond the legs. There is always someone looking out for him and we leave water, food and toys within reach. He can climb furniture and we let him do it for some exercise.
