Dr Disrespect, one of the fastest growing streamers on twitch with a large viewer base, known for his 80's inspired character with a very polarizing personality to some and the epitome of gamerbro to others, announces he's cheated on his wife, who he has a young daughter with, on a short stream and announces he's taken a break.

Many of his fans have taken his side, saying to stay strong and that it takes "courage" to admit it.
Those against him say he's only sad that he got caught and is broadcasting this drama to save face later.

Whatever the real reason is, there are plenty of warriors on twitter defending their chosen side.

It's shitty what he did. It does take a lot to admit you fucked up, especially to that many people, but it's still a shitty shitty shitty thing to do. Dumb and shitty.

I read a theory that his wife might've forced him to knowing how much it'd hurt him. If he could deny it as a rumour he would've gotten away with it, but now that it's a major drama he's going to be known as "that funnyman who cheated on his wife and cried on camera about it" for the rest of his streaming career. It'll follow him around and he'll be a joke in a way no entertainer wants to be. But if he is just dumb and impulsive enough to flip on OBS instead of keeping his mouth shut (more likely) that's even funnier.

I find it utterly fascinating when internet personalities rise and fall so fast, especially for dumb non-reasons like this. He won't starve because his fans will stand by him, but getting trolled and losing his family and half his money will probably make him self-destruct within a year.
