You know, I've come to expect genital surgeries to turn out horrendous from a lot of these chop shop docs, hell sometimes the results aren't fantastic when a well trained reconstructive plastic surgeon is simply repairing natal genitalia from trauma/etc.

But... those top surgeries. Maybe I'm biased? I've performed well over a thousand breast reconstructions at this point, mostly flap procedures for breast cancer survivors, but plenty of other things in the mix... and those results are just straight: "I don't give a fuck how much my malpractice insurance costs, I want to mutilate people because it gets me off."

Also rate me MOTI but fuck surgeons who won't do revisions for the people they're suppose to be caring for. Patient outcomes should mean more to you than fucking dollar bills.

It also seems that everyone has their own patented method of wreaking havoc on the orga(ni)sm, which I can only imagine makes it much harder for tort lawyers to make arguments about duty of care, professional standards, etc. I am told that in my jurisdiction the Court gets to decide whether prevailing standards are appropriate regardless of whether they are universally adopted by the professional fraternity, e.g. it is a legal not a medical decision and the court can decide that even complying fully with "best practices" is still insufficient/tortious etc, but I can't imagine this prerogative is exercised much in practice,

Oh, and these people are completely broke and would run out of spoons if they put a month aside for mailing a letter.

I really can't imagine how horrible on every level it must be to have had SRS. Granted, I am a (passably) sane, healthy male, so I have a natural fear of losing my dick n' balls, but once you've had that horrible shit done to you, where do you go from there?

There are many people who went through a devastating loss of the use of their sex organs, like a spinal cord injury or severe lower body injury etc. Surprisingly, most people return to whatever baseline level of happiness they had before disability. That is not to say that its okay or anything, these are horrible things to have to live through, most people find a way to have a meaningful life despite whatever they got stuck with. It is harder to recover from something if you are somewhat at fault, like agreeing to having kathy perform your surgery. People dealing with that have a longer road to mental recovery. Having a mental illness to start with makes it harder for them, too. People joke about 41% but trannies don't have a suicide rate any higher than other mentally ill populations, which is admittedly much higher than the general population, but no where near half. Anorexics commit suicide way more than troons, and they top out around 10 % last time I checked.

revisions can sometimes end up in the 10+ surgery category, depending on what is being revised. Things can get really nightmarishly complicated. Having your crotch botched is not the worst surgery that can go wrong. You can still walk and talk and work if you have a stink ditch that looks weird or closes up, there are many worse things that can happen to a human body during surgery....

cosmetic surgeons play this game a lot, too. They get a feel for what patients will sue them and avoid revising botched patients, especially if the patient is intent on suing the original surgeon. Since the surgery is elective they aren't actually improving anyone's health, it is all about money.
