Can anyone tell me why they would have these troon rub estrogen gel on their new wound? Is it some weird psychological placebo. I love how these troons refer to Medicaid as “their insurance” and Rumer is the only surgeon who takes their insurance. She’s got a nice scam going that ensures all the poor Medicaid troons have to come to her for surgery. I wonder what Medicaid allows to be billed vs what other surgeons get via private insurance or cash payments.
Doctors tend to set up practices that only take private insurance or practices geared toward Medicaid. Medicaid reimburses at lower rates than private insurance so the doctors that accept Medicaid have big quantity over quality type of practices, aimed at huge caseloads to make up for the lower reimbursement.
Kathy could be in real trouble if another SRS surgeon decided to open up a practice that takes Medicaid. She relies on a giant conveyor belt of poor troons to remain profitable. If even 25% of her caseload was lost she’d probably close up shop. But, it would seem no other doctor in the greater PA region wants to open up a troon chop shop that accepts Medicaid and requires a dozen plus dick chops per week to make their nut. Easy to see why.
I think “broke ass transsexuals” might be the worst patient demographic imaginable. Rumer will probably be the only game in town for them for quite awhile.
Isn't a persistent issue that there's no actual standard for this shit, so GRS surgery is, effectively, whatever the surgeon says it is (barring really egregious stuff like leaving forceps inside the patient?)
Yeah, bit what's her overhead? There's perfunctory consultation, no aftercare, and something like 1.8 surgeries per calendar day from what I believe is a one-woman operation. Given that she fits every possible corner, I would believe that she has good margins even without the super-high throughput.
Then you don't need any evidence to say it's botched, either. The opinion of a layperson is just as good as that of a "professional."

Both surgeons that depend on the Medicaid bucks to fund their practice, so not very surprising.
To be fair they are also dealing with the very bottom on the barrel when it comes to patients. I mean Dugi operated on ADF ffs. I can only imagine how well these near homeless crazy ppl handle the aftercare and wound care upkeep.
We can call these patients trans women, but first and foremost they are unemployed, mentally ill people who cannot function in society. They are walking blank checks for unscrupulous surgeons. All they have to do is utter the magic words “I’m trans” and the doctor can start the paperwork to bill Medicaid for $18k to get them into the OR. If they wouldn’t immediately start the process to get the chop that would be transphobic gatekeeping.

I think that all the competent lawyers told rumer that the blog was outside of the statute of limitations when she found it and doesn't contain defamation as defined in state law, and that she has to actually know who she is suing in order to serve them. So she seethed to any lawyer that would listen until eventually one of them figured she would get her dismissed lawsuit filed by someone, might as well get paid for filing the go-nowhere papers.
My fav part of the response was when they used the plaintiff's claims of being "most renown for gender reassignment surgery" and that patients "travel from all over the country" to see Dr. Rumer actually establishes her as a type of public figure and nukes relevant portions of her defamation claims because of that.
This may prove to be a bigger misstep than it would otherwise be. While it is rare for anyone transgender to truly pass as stealth, it is a whole different matter to name people as past patients of gender reassignment surgery in publicly searchable legal documents, effectively outing them as a post operative transsexual to anyone who cares to look. I have not checked but I really doubt that this person's cease and desist specifies what kind of surgery they saw rumer for, while this defamation suit absolutely does. That kind of information is sensitive and perhaps might also end up being a violation of health care related privacy laws. It might be the fault of Rumer's attorney though, since they should not be filing and serving defamation papers of this type on the say so of the doctor without some kind of evidence that it is the correct party to sue. It is even harder to get attorneys in trouble for professional malpractice than it is to get a doctor though, it would be ironic if doctor rumer ended up having to chase her own dead end malpractice suit against her counsel.
This is not true. Public figures can still claim defamation but they must show actual malice rather than the lower negligence standard normies can claim. Negligence is self-explanatory while actual malice is informally defined as knowing or reckless disregard for the truth. Rumer's attorney does address this in Item 12.(g) of the "Facts" section of the amended complaint; this textbook recitation of the actual malice standard is enough to survive a motion to dismiss.
That being said, the complaint does not allege enough to show that she meets this standard. Anyone who has read my lawsperg posts will know how this paragraph ends but back in 2014 Rolling Stone published a story entitled "A Rape On Campus" which turned out to be a complete fabrication. External and internal audits confirmed Rolling Stone did not follow its own internal review process and following this process would have shown the story was a hoax. But that still did not do them in; the smoking gun was the decision to republish and publicly defend the article after their own staff were voicing doubts. That very funny email quoting the Rolling Stones is not proof of actual malice because it refers to "people that [Rumer] hurt", i.e. even if Miller is lying and he did send that/does own Rumers Anonymous it suggests that he genuinely believes his own claims.
Back to laughing at our real-life Lionel Hutz, Lance left out a crucial detail when he claimed that Miller "authored" the posts: They are just copy-pastes of Reddit posts and not Miller's own work. This means that the original Reddit posts could have been made with actual malice and it does not matter, what matters is whether the republication satisfies actual malice. This would be next to impossible given the age of these claims and Miller's links to other detailed, credible anti-Rumer sites like Hannah Simpson.
It makes sense, that shit looks like they used the same amount of 19th century techniques, hardware and explosives that the Panama Canal was made with
