Meh, small business websites are always using the word "trusted" but you made a great point that I hadn't even considered - since he's selling himself as Veronica the hadywoman, he might actually be more likely to get female clients who would be uneasy about a male contractor, especially if they are home alone.

So, you're a woman who happily requests Veronica's services because you want to support female entrepreneurs and you feel more comfortable inviting a woman into your home... and then an obvious man shows up. If that happened to me, I would absolutely hate it. I have been alone a lot with male contractors and it has always been fine, they've been fantastic and never made me feel uncomfortable, but if I was expecting a woman and got someone like Rhys I would actually be super uneasy.

Some dope on Danny from earlier in the thread:

@OttoWest felt that the guy didn't deserve to be doxxed because he has no active role in Rhys's circus. But he's more than a roommate: Rhys says that he lives with "a platonic partner." He has posted pictures "taken with my parner's phone," etc. Rhys implied that he and his partner purchased the house together, but Rhys chose not to be on the deed because he (Rhys) did not want his address to be a public record.

I am very curious about this guy and how he became involved with Rhys, and what his real role in Rhys's life is. From the property records, the dude's name is Dan ("Danny") Shawn Daugherty and he works for a paint company. His Facebook says that he was hired at the paint company in April 2014...Rhys arrived in Charleston just a few months later. Daugherty bought the house in the summer of 2015.

I've only put a small amount of effort in so far, but I can't find anything else about the dude. I strongly suspect that if you asked him about his relationship with Rhys, he would not in turn describe Rhys as his "partner."

It’s funny when those words cease to mean anything, isn’t it Rhys? It’s almost as if using them as threats to silence others has no power outside the wokesphere. Strange how that works.

As to the housemate, there just nothing interesting there that can be scraped from a search. A never-married bachelor in his late 40s. Zero-to-no social media presence.

ETA Ah @Potatis Salad ninja’d me. Danny is originally from Maryland and relocated to Charleston in 2014. My guess is he and Rhys met online prior to the move— (hookup app?) He has a brother in Delaware and one in California. The California brother is gay; I’m sure he’d love to hear Rhys’s take on homosex being transphobic.

I think the property purchases are a Rhys & Danny (platonic lifemate/sugar daddy) co-production. They live in a filthy shitbox condo that hasn’t been renovated in 20 years; they’re obviously not sinking their money into their home.

Danny is nearly 50, not yet near retirement but at an age when maybe you’ve got money to invest so perhaps he decided to secure some side income with rental properties. We already know Rhys’s salary and have established that his speaker fees and promotional deals (lol remember the watches?) are just more bullshit; unless the bank of Mum & Dad handed over some cash, I think it’s Danny who’s bankrolling this operation.

It’s a weird time for Rhys to make such an investment. Maybe he believes he’s going to cash in on a huge severance?

Amerikiwis please do some digging on the other names listed at the pervy house. I found a 41yo woman called Tiffany Freedman who once worked/studied or still does at CofC. Page also said she goes by the name of Tiffany Clary but weirdly also Brock Clary. Page also referred to her as a he. Not sure if it was just a load of guff so wont post a link. It was easy enough to find on the web.

Is this possibly the same person? Is this a Brock Clary who became a Tiffany Clary? and are both names listed at the house because mail comes to both names?
