DSP Videos that aren't Trash - Phil Videos that are Bretty Ok in your Opinion

I'm going to get flamed to hell and back for this, but curiosity has the better of me .

Has Phil ever uploaded any good videos ever? The man has uploaded over 40,000 videos, so I figured their has to be one or two diamonds in the rough. I know his most rabid fans and ex-fans alike always point to his earlier videos as his best work, but they never share what videos they are specifically.

So which Phil videos are the good ones? If you know of a DSP video that's actually beyond tolerable, post it here. I actually stumbled upon an older video from 2012 I thought was pretty funny while I was searching for a specific TIHYDP.

This WWE sim he did with Rambo actually got some laughs out of me that weren't unintentional. It more so has to do with the insane glitch that happens in this video, but DSP and John's reactions were genuinely funny too. At least based off this video, Phil was actually able to be funny when he was bouncing jokes back and fourth with Rambo and they have some alright chemistry.

Let the shrieking and accusations of being a DSP fan begin.

There are genuine moments within Phil's playthroughs that have some value, like actual jokes or nice observations. They are just so far and few in-between that they get completely diluted.

One example I can remember is him saying that in GTAIV Derrick McReary's alcoholism likely elicited sympathy from Niko because he saw it as one possible outcome for himself after a similar bad past. Whether or not in the end you'd agree with him, it was still pretty thought-provoking and GTAIV did on occasion have fairly subtle writing just like that, so it was nice to see him for once think about the plot instead of going "BOOBIES TITS PENIS ASSFUCKING ACK ACK ACK!"

Entire videos of worthy khantent, though? No. No chance.

There's more of those kinds of clips. It wasn't uncommon for him. One of the Spider-Man games for example had him play for under a minute before going to the next ep. Whether it ends there I wouldn't know but I'd bet there's at least a double digit number of videos that did this shit.

There´s a single joke he ever made that had good timing and delivery. Near the beginning of Dishonored he starts reading some diaries, during one of the Outsider´s dream sequences, and I think the diary said something like ´HE´S GONE HE´S GONE HE´S GONE HE´S GONE´ ad nauseam ... and then Philber said something like ´I guess he´s gone.´

It was the only time I ever felt like he was funny on purpose and not because of his incompetence.

His breath of the wild playthrough was fine. I mean it's a AAA release so Phil had to concentrate a bit more.

The almost anciend Pike Basin suicide jump videos where he was genuinely having fun and laughed his ass off. But since then he has gone a long way down the spiral.

Outside of his back and forth with John Rambo, the playthroughs for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, SAW, and Silent Hill 2 are kind of enjoyable. For different reasons, of course.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney because Phil had to actually pay attention, otherwise he'd not even finish the game. SAW because he (and everyone else) was aware of how shitty the game was, and he took pleasure in berating the game. Silent Hill 2 because it's probably the only time I've seen a game leave Phil pretty much speechless (the ending), and how he made a follow-up video saying how much he enjoyed it and going over the subtleties of the game's plot and symbolism, showing that he did understand it.

Thing with Phil is that he's never continuesly entertaining but just in very small bits in rare instances and the rest is pure garbage. The sign of not being a good entertainer. So I think it's not really possible to point to one video and rate it great, or good. Maybe some of them are mediocre. So because I'm a crazy motherfucker I watched his playthrough of this new Need For Speed and I wasn't even drunk.
I watched until the point the open world started because from there on it was a train wreck and I hated it. Everything before that was boring. Just boring! Not trash! Sometimes, in rare instances, his jokes even made me laugh! The rest of his jokes were childish, sexist, racist, cringeworthy or just objectively stupid or he just said nothing for a long time. But still kinda watchable, nah, hearable when I played video games. With an Ad Blocker.
So Phil's best content is everyone elses mediocre rated content, I guess.

When the escort saga first started, he had that stream where he didn't snort, actually commented on the gameplay in a very focused manner, and didn't do any salty seal laughs or any of his other bizarre verbal tics.

He handled it like a champ, he said dont even worth mentioning, dont give attention to it.. kudos for that.

But not even a day later he totally ruined the moment when he realized he made a mistake and he can use this to his own advantage and more pity bux.

Oh fuck, I forgot he played the Saw video game. That was actually a funny playthrough because of how ridiculous the game was. Honestly, Phil should stick to glitchy, mediocre games more often. It really is his wheel house.

While he's at it, he should actually make some friends to play games with. When Phil somehow captures lightning in a bottle and excels at making let's plays, it was usually when he had John there with him. He needs someone to bounce his jokes off of. Phil isn't very funny, but if he's got someone to bullshit with, his commentary can improve and actually be funny at times. Unless it was Leanna. I've seen more than enough detractor videos to know what kind of "clever and enlightening" commentary she brings to the table.
